I think our defense will still be better overall because we'll still be pretty good on the interior and we won't have such a glaring lack of pass rush from the ends (assuming autry is the real deal), but I think we're going to find out that Cox helped our linebackers out a lot.

If there was any question to what Balis made means see below. I did not copy from BDJ this is straight from Fletcher's twitter page. Hope it's ok but I provided link as well just in case:

I do think we would have been a lot better off had Carmon not gotten hurt early in the year. He was able to come back but he missed a lot in that time. I wish they would've turned him into an offensive lineman as soon as he stepped on campus.

First I think replacing a LT and a DT are 2 very different things. Second we have better depth now at both positions. Third (much like #2)look what was coming behind Sherrod especially in experience and look what's coming behind Cox. Neither guy that played LT last year had taken a game snap there. We've got at least 4 or 5 guys coming back that have at least lined up at DT.

Cox was a great player, but I feel a whole lot better about our DL situation right now than I did about our OL situation last offseason. We'll miss him for sure, but I think our overall DL will be better this fall than it was last fall.</p>
