that is what happened last night. Despite the general "wisdom" here great defense kept us in the game. Sid had a pretty decent game too.

should be interesting to watch, if you like that sort of thing...they are going to trap the hell out of the ballscreens

We have GOT to make them pay with excellent guard play and steal some easy buckets inside with Moultrie. Critical.

it will be the same BS on here bitching about why we should have lost. If we lose it will be unadulterated GLEE here.

It will be like a Top 20 win, they are a tough team with two good Bigs in Mitchell and Green... Bama also plays great defense, so it should come down to whose Bigs get in foul trouble first and of course if we can hit some key 3 pointers. I hope Bost breaks out on Saturday...

The problem last night is that TN is not that good of a team, and we were up double digits and did not extend the lead.
Instead we went into the Stall and let them back in the game.
Dee saved us from a loss with his steal after his horrible attempt at a pass on the play before as the shot clock was winding down.
We needed to blowout TN last night to help our teams confidence and to rest some starters for Saturday, especially the RSS and Moultrie and his "knee".

I'm happy as hell we are 14 and 3 and ranked, but some of us see the potential that we have and aren't using. We could be so much better.

Make them prove they'll hit from outside early and try to save our big men from foul trouble while also keeping their bigs from getting going inside.

It's constant. Hard to see where it's coming from when it never lets up, not even when we have a good win. Kind of like the little boy who cried wolf you know.

Their weakness is outside and perimeter shooting... make them beat us by making shots over us, not use their bread and butter. We are gonna have a hard time scoring over 65 points tomorrow, and I think they are one of the worst outside shooting teams in the SEC.

ETA: I know this probably isn't the best strategy for the game, but you get what I'm saying. The majority of their points will come in the paint (like Tennessee did to us early on), so make them make shots over us to beat us.

I don't consider a 4 pt win over an 8-7 TN team at home a Good Win... Do You??

Go back to our wins over AZ, WV, & TA&M and you will see very positive posts after those wins this year....

Sweet 16 or Bust...

AskBilly Donovan and the formerly 13th ranked Florida Gators how it feels to play this 8-7 TN team.

I personally don't give a rip if we win every single game by a single point. A win is a win.

as a bad win or a good loss. Mississippi State fans have never really understood either but they have a HORRIBLE time comprehending the first one. I'm as guilty as the next guy too.

It's a big difference in CBB between winning on the road and at home, I thought you were smarter than that...

I realize that but why is it that no one on here seems to care when WE are the ones losing on the road?

You are out of your mind if youexpect me to believe this board would be as forgiving if we hadlost on the road at UT this season.

well we haven't played well much this season so I guess three losses is pretty good when you've played bad about ten times.

Bama and State have very similar teams, you never know which one will show up. We have played lights out and worse than I would like to admit. I think tomorrow will be an interesting match up and I am looking forward to it.
