and to think some want to take guns away from people.

FAIRMONT, W.Va. — An elderly man opened fire on three suspects who tried to force their way into and rob his home in Fairmont, killing one and sending another to the hospital late Monday, Fairmont Police said.

"Armed, willing, and ready" needs to be more the norm than the exception. Too bad he was only one for two (or three).

I'm not sure I want an 80 year old opening fire. It's tough enough for police, who are trained to hit somebody. Hell, a police officer in Maryland was killed by friendly fire in the past 30 days.

Actually it was a firefighter, but that's splitting hairs. And he also wounded another firefighter, and his own brother, who had called the fire department to do a welfare check - the shooter is diabetic and was not responding to his brother's attempts to contact him. The firefighters knocked, loudly, several times, identifying themselves and asking if the man was OK. Getting no response, they started to force the door and the man opened fire. He told the police he thought they were lying about being firefighters and had come to rob him - no explanation for why he shot his brother.

That is one advantage we older folks have. We know we don't have to be accurate as long as we get their attention. Younger people put more value on life than does the 80 year old. You ain't never seen anything as crazy as someone that old. Life is not that important - mine or yours.

Yes, we get it. You are a crazy old bastard that doesn't value life. You've shown us what a piece of **** you are on this board many times.

Yes, age has some advantages. We don't have to hide behind a screen name. But you are safe wherever you go. Most recognize your mental deficiency and know you are incapable of knowing right from wrong. And sadly you do not realize or appreciated the wisdom others attempt to share with you. Pathetic.

Please on that one! I know there are many out there.
I honestly don't know a single person who does not believe in the right to bear arms. Pretty obvious this is nothing more than a knee-jerk generalization by the right.

Good to see that you are in such a good mood today. Why can't we just all get along? You always have to start with the name-calling.

Your board experience will be enhanced greatly if you put him on ignore and leave him there.
He could learn something from White, who has me on ignore, but still idiot enough to read my stuff. Maybe not, since he thinks he is smart enough to know all while not knowing jackshit. But he is a good govt employee who is suspected to be hired to protect Obama in ever comment. Now, listen to his great capacity to double talk and allow you to assume what he says - which is nothing.

Absolutely, but that wasn't my point. Sure there are some out there who would love to ban guns, but there's this misconception from the right that people on the left want to get rid of guns in general. That's just not true.

Name one.
There are a lot of folks. Too many to name them all but since you asked for one.

Rosie O’Donnell
“I don’t care if you want to hunt. I don’t care if you think it’s your right. I say, ‘Sorry.’ We have had enough as a nation. You are not allowed to own a gun, and if you do own a gun I think you should go to prison.”

OK, congratulations (not being sarcastic). Name a politician; someone that has some political power to enact legislation to accomplish it.

You are a proven liar and this is more proof. Be proud, Scum
So you haven't posted on here that your solution to solving the gun violence problem is to amend the constitution because you don't believe we should have guns? You've never posted that on here?

I have posted and maintain the opinion that a lot of problems could be resolved by redoing the second amendment. Have never, ever said or support the notion you just suggested. I am a staunch supporter of the right to own a gun for defense, recreation and hunting. I'm a hunter and own two rifles myself.

Let's see if you can comprehend a stated opinion without adding your false interpretation.

That's what I thought. Another right wing claim made but no evidence to support it. (and that is directed at the OP as much as it is toward you)
I answered every question you asked. I cannot do your research for you.

No, you didn't find a quote where a politician said we should ban all guns. It should easy to do since you said Feinstein and Pelosi were anti gun. It should be easy to do since the NRA tells us we need to vote against certain candidates to "keep our rights".

Then I misunderstood your post and all of your previous posts related to gun control.
