As he trotted toward the dugout, our 1B coach shrugged as if to say (to someone in the dugout) that he didn’t know whether we should challenge. Maybe we should have an actual coach there…

You would think a coach with his job on the line would have actual coaches at 1st and 3rd.
That’s only about the 6th time this season. And we have lost a shítload of 1-run games.

Apparently a coach has 10 sec to notify the crew chief that they’re considering a challenge and 30 to actually request the challenge.
Now it’s so important to score the first run, we are giving up outs by bunting…

What happens if you notify & don't challenge? If nothing, then do it after every call.
In an unrelated note, scUM drivers are the worst. Driving in 5:30 pm traffic today, 2 scUM branded cars were idiots and made bad traffic decisions trying to cut in lines at stop lights. What gives? Their drivers aren’t 17 smart.
