I believe a lot of people get confused over needs versus wants ....health care is a need ....I want a Eddie Bauer welding rig I have a plain Jane cheapest truck on the lot .....my babies have insurance & I have saved for college for them ....& paid for the ex wife's college.....now I need some black bush ...

But if that only covers 11%, what else should you give up? TV's and computers should be next, then on down the line. "Making America Great Again" like the 1800's.

“You know what, Americans have choices, and they’ve got to make a choice,” he said. “And so maybe, rather than getting that new iPhone that they just love and want to go spend hundreds of dollars on, maybe they should invest in their own health care.”

According to the Kaiser Family Foundation, the average premium for an individual health care plan in the United States is just over $235 per month. Buying an iPhone 7 through a wireless carrier and paying for it in installments over a two-year period costs $27 per month.

In other words, forsaking an iPhone 7 will save Americans enough money to pay for roughly 11% of what it would cost to get health insurance.
Obama To People Who Can’t Afford Obamacare: Give Up Your Phone Or Cable To Pay For It…

Shared sacrifice?

(Washington, D.C.) – The President recently participated in a health care town hall with Spanish-language media. He responded to a question received via email, from a consumer who makes $36,000 per year and cannot find insurance for a family of three for less than $315 per month. The President responded that “if you looked at their cable bill, their telephone, their cell phone bill… it may turn out that, it’s just they haven’t prioritized health care.” He added that if a family member gets sick, the father “will wish he had paid that $300 a month.”

According to the National Center for Public Policy Research, the health care law is reducing choice and increasing premiums for millions of Americans. Ehealthinsurance reports that consumers are paying an average of 39% more than they did before the law was implemented. The high cost of policies is contributing to the continued weak enrollment numbers under the law, which are now showing signs of decreasing with less than 3 weeks left to enroll. When he sought the Presidency, Mr. Obama said his plan would deliver affordable care that people would be “desperate” to purchase. – See more at: http://www.thelibreinitiative.com/p...ble-phone-or-health-care#sthash.Sccqkr8C.dpuf

And this is news? I had to give up a lot of things when I first started working. There were many, many things I wanted but could not afford. It's called budgeting. Prioritize your needs and fund them. Save money to buy the luxury items. Do you not do this? To this very day, I do.
Moronic original statement in this post. He was talking
about allocation of disposable income. Obama said
the same thing concerning cell phones vs. getting
healthcare in 2008. No outrage then.

LOL ... as soon as I got to "***** and giggles" I immediately thought "probably literally" ... then read the second sentence. :)
