Gopher post game recap from MN perspective

The thing that keeps sticking out to me is the MN fans can't wrap their head around how good the SEC is this year. They know we are trying for a bowl game this year, but we would win 8 with their schedule. They feel like they just got beat by a mediocre team. Check the stats. We are near the tops in the nation in ypg.

I think there’s a decent chance that they’re not a good as has been typical under Fleck and we’re better than expected. That would help explain a 25 point win in a near toss up game coming on.

Maybe. But they didn't look good at all Saturday. And they have to play at Washington, Indiana and Penn St, and Wisconsin and play Michigan and Iowa at home. Not much room for any more screw ups. FPI is currently projecting them 4.3-7.7 with a 22.1% chance to win 6 games.

Based on what I saw, Minnesota's only saving grace is their crappy schedule. We'd win 8 or 9 playing their schedule. They have no running game and serious issues up front, and that's really their bread and butter. They are underslzed and slow defensively. Their QB is pretty good though. Overall, if they played our schedule, they're a 2-10 football team.
