I guess a Flyers receiver dropped a wide-open pass in the end zone. TV monitor blocked out the end of the play.

Wilson sacked for 17 yard loss on 4th down. Gorman brought the house. Gaels will take over at 22.
Game over. Hard to come out of a time out and be unprepared. Love Sunk, but he got out coached there. Looking back should have ran on 3rd down and 4th down. Don't be scared and go away from what was working.

My first game blog of the season. This site isn't nearly as user friendly for fast posting as the old one. A lot of lag. A couple of crashes. A couple of times where I went to the initial post to change the score and it didn't take.
Three big plays -- two long TD passes and a kick return brought all the way back-- were the difference.
East Side's passing game didn't do much. Gorman did bring a lot of pressure. Wonder about the change at QB at halftime.
ESL's running game looked very good against a Gorman D which I guess is used to being very stingy against the run.

Yeah - the running game was excellent. They can ride those horses all season through Thanksgiving. The passing game, against an all D1 group, got jammed up. I think that is on the QB. Then again, where else will they see a D like that? So more time for passing plays to develop and more margin of error for the QB and WRs.
BG is a great team but ESL ran at will. Going into the Illinois portion of their schedule ESL needs to forego the flashiness and run up and down the field on everyone.

Then an MC guy says they whoop ESL ... commentators give MC tons of love but says MC will not play down south - only in CHI. Then they start blasting the ESL boys .... "this aint't working." Hey - Flyer guys are honest and brutal in their judgment.
Whatever you say. I'm so white, I'm transparent so didn't pick up too much but those two were an entertaining halftime. Glad they responded to the comment section and had fun. Not sure if their ESL regulars, but sign them up for a weekly halftime show.
My take away. ESL belongs. BG is BG, they took advantage of mistakes and looked more polished than ESL. ESL has a three headed monster at RB and I know they like to be flashy, but this year they need to shut up and run the damn ball all over the state.
Can you imagine if Sunk broke out the wishbone? Lord Almighty, that would be awesome!
