Looks like they are hiring the UCLA WR coach - the guy that was recruiting Singleton.

Use caution in your declarations about the "desperation" of the bears and their fans. You never know when Conference Retard Karma will STRIKE to restore equilibrium between the two conference retard programs. In this case, it seems I recall that Mullen is looking for a position coach too. I'd be careful not to accuse the bears of "desperation" until that slot gets filled.

You are going to leave Sunny Southern California for Ole Miss? That's like jumping from a 1 million dollar house boat into a river of ****.

No other reason they'd be trying so hard, sounds like there is still possibility with him.

after looking at ESPN's NCAA Division I-A Team Receiving Statistics for 2010, UCLA came in at 109 out of 120. No wonder he was fired. In terms of passing offense they came in at 116 out of 120, the other four teams behind them were all triple option offense teams.

He hired Malzahn at Arkansas to get the kids from Springdale.

Turned out that Malzahn is actually a pretty good coach too, but the primarydriver there was obviously the recruits. Nutt didn't let Malzahn install his own offense, ran him off after one year, etc. The deal became very obvious when all the recruits jumped ship when Malzahn left.

no I don't think they are, but this guy was the receivers coach correct? His job was to work with the receivers and make them better correct? He was the WR coach for 3 years. His first year they were 10th in nation, second year they fell all the way to 114, and final year he actually made a jump to 109. He didn't make them better, they were declining. And yes you can't put all the blame on him, but he has to be part of the problem one would think so he got fired. Do you really think that om can't find somebody a little bit better than that?

For all the hype about Neuheisel, he's only had 4 teams ranked in the top 25 at the end ofthe season in 11 years of coaching, and 2 of those were in his first2 seasons when he inherited a loaded Colorado program from Bill McCartney. He's also only 22-28 in his last 4 years. He's mediocre at best.

Nutt is the most desperate coach I've ever seen. Some of the stuff his staff does is down right absurd. I dunno what their new coaches selling point would be other than "I coached at UCLA." He certainly has no evidence of making anyone better. And yes, still no QB, just like no QB at UCLA. I can't wait to see Mississippi's offense next season. Is it a fact they won't be playing Boise next year?

we still have a decent shot at Singleton. If he truly wants to be a Dawg I don't think this development will have much of an impact but who knows. More information seems to be coming out on Brassell that he is definetly sign and place so I am much less conerned with him as he will not be a factor for at least two more years and may never be.

And if they signed with you guys, whowould be there WR coach?

A guy that has been a grad assistant for 3 years and was playing QB atCase Western during 2008?A guythat has only worked with receivers for one year?

And I'm not saying your guy is bad. He may turn out to be the best WR coach in the nation, but he has very, very little experience with WR's.

I realize you all will get all upset at my response, but it isn't a flame. I'm just asking you to look at the flip side of the coin, which is the experience and reputation of your own WR coach.

Our new WR coach accomplished more with his receivers for the one month he had them betweent the Ole Miss beatdown and the Gatorbowl than your experienced retread has accomplished in an entire career. 114th rated passing attack? Really?
