It's either not there or I have no idea where to look. Anybody know where it is on Dog Tag?

Thanks. FYI, my selection will be Wed. Mar 26 at 9:20 a.m. It wasn't there before when I posted, so I suppose they just put it up. Looks like no golf til after they call.

And Hail State has got to be in the top 10 slowest web sites I've ever seen.

Just curious, but what is your rank? I would have thought they would have assigned all selection times at once. I'm 1800ish and mine still says TBA.

1180. Last year it was just over 1000 but it got worse this year even though I increased my pledge. I guess others increased theirs more.

I sit in club level, and the email said all CL seats would be assigned by phone. And they call me at the appointed time. Might be different in other sections.

Rocket, 3 or 4 of the Old Dawgs I have lunch with in HSV on Tuesdays (you've been there) have elected to drop out of the Bulldog Club and not buy season tickets this year. I went ahead and renewed, but I don't like this process either. If it doesn't work for me, this will be my last year also.

Those are my thoughts too. I considered not renewing but decided to see what kind of seats I get under the reseating. If they're significantly worse, I'll be saving a substantial contribution and watching on television next year. I guess I'll know Wednesday whether I'll be going next year or not.

So here is my question

1130 and still TBA but I'm not sitting club level.
When I spoke with the BDC several weeks ago they said they were reseating the Suites, Club Level, and premium seating in the North Endzone first, then would move on to reseating everybody else.

How does this work if somebody in Club Level decides they want to sit somewhere else in the stadium (100/200 level for example). Do they get to select seats before the general reseating starts?

I'm sure it wouldn't be many people but I do know people who have left Club Level before to go back to the west side.

For what it's worth my selection time is not listed yet and my rank is just over 1100.

They would already know if you're leaving CL because you've already had to order your tickets. If you're dropping out, presumably those people would choose seats along with everybody else.

All I really know is that they told me that current CL members are reseated first in rank order, then new CL members would get to choose. In other words, even really big donors would not be able to kick current CL members out. Or at least that's what I was told.

Wouldn't be surprised if a new Today, Tomorrow, and Forever (or whatever it's called) member who's not in CL, but wanted in CL, would get just about any seat they wanted.

I'd assume that having a seat re-selection process is intended to drive additional giving, so standing pat or even increasing your giving may not have as much benefit this year.

So, the Today. Tomorrow. Forever people

I have not got an email yet. The whole deal with that was they were supposed to get first pick.

Anyone know whats going on? My family opted out of a pretty damn good deal to join this.

My Bulldog Club Rank is 298 and my Seat Selection Time is still listed as "TBA" as of right now. Other folks in the 1100's already have theirs? What's the deal, Lucille?

Edited to add: OK, I called the Bulldog Club and the lady told me that the Scoreboard Level and Club Level seats have seat selection times already assigned but nobody else does. Since mine is neither of those, she said the time for the rest of us would be announced "in the near future".

It's all about the CL at this point. People already in it get a chance to move around within the CL, and even TTF folks can't kick out existing CL members. Remain calm.

Glad you called, but still...the TTF group was told they'd pick first and I would imagine most of those 300 that signed up want in the club levels.

If you are TTF, you pick first in your group. They will seat the suites, the Scoreboard level and the Club levels first. Then, they will seat the rest of the stadium. I'm TTF, but not in any of the above sections so I'm still TBA too.

I have a feeling this is going to turn into a cluster and they are going to lose a number of season ticket holders over it. They will lose some this year, but if people don't like the new people around them or where they end up they will lose more next year.

We have to have some of of the most unwelcoming fans in the world, especially in baseball. I occasionally buy box seats at Dudy Noble, but I'm not a season ticket holder. The regulars have a certain way of making me feel like Sidney Poitier in Guess Who's Coming to Dinner when I'm amongst them.

They were already running behind this morning, we got our 11:05 call at 11:30. Seems they are running behind because you have to talk through all the seat possibilities over the phone since there is no online map or photo being updated showing seats that have been selected (like has been done in the past with basketball). We ended up moving from section 117 just north of the north goal line down to about the 30-35 yard line in 120 so we are pretty happy about that.

Just a FYI

My call time is Thursday at 1:30 but I logged on my DogTag and noticed the number they had was my now disconnected home phone number. I changed it to my work number and added my cell number as a secondary. Thought somebody else might be in the same situation, so I thought I would mention it in case anybody wanted to check theirs.

Excellent tip. I just checked mine and didn't have any numbers listed at all (I think I did this on purpose so they wouldn't be soliciting donations all the time). So I filled it in. Might take it out again after the seating thing is over. But ... MSU has called me before and I have no idea how they got my number. The University calls me every year during their fundraising campaign; I just didn't want the BDC doing it too.

I just checked by Dog Tag based on a tip below about having phone numbers in there, and found out that my ranking had gotten better by 1 ... went from 1180 to 1179. And I thought it was supposed to be frozen a couple of weeks ago in early March, but apparently not. It was 1180 just a week ago.

It was frozen for selection order but if you made a donation after the fact, or someone else dropped out then your ranking still can change but the 1180 would be the number you pick from.

Call the BC office and they can put whatever number you want on the list for the seat selection. That way you know which one they will call and dont have to worry about missing the call.

they called me today at the exact time stated on my letter

I have been in the club level since its inception. With the reseating, I moved one row closer to the field and closer to the 50.

Very happy with the situation. My Bulldog Club rank is a few under 300 and I was worried because the membership recently swelled to 10,000 (from 7-8k last fall). It looks like the campaign and strategy for reseating worked.

Some will be pissed as they were for basketball a few years ago. Some might drop out. Ultimately the Bulldog Club have bitten the bullet and are probably prepared to take a little heat for a few months, but-- in the end-- the only fair way to seat is by priority and rank.

Informative (and worrisome)....

They were already running behind this morning, we got our 11:05 call at 11:30. I pick today at 1:10. I've been looking for a seat chart showing the taken seats. I'm glad you mentioned there isn't one or I would have been searching all day.

Your new seats are right next to mine. If you picked yesterday and have seats right where I have been, then I'm going to be moving down. It's not that big of a deal, and I kind of expected it, but I don't want to move TOO far away from the 50.

Been in the CL since the first year and I've been on the 28-30 yard line in section 120 of the CL for 10-11 years. First 2 or 3 seasons were on the CL 10 yard line. Watched a lot of sucky football from those seats. Some good ball recently, though.

This reminds me of the first basketball reseating--Many were saying "I bought basketball season tickets when we sucked, and now that we're good I'm going to lose my seats". Now it's "I bought football season tickets from 2001 through 2009 with only 1 bowl season, including all of Croom, and now that we're good I'm going to lose my spots".

I completely understood then and I understand now. I'm just going to live with it for 2014. However, I may also give up my seats next year.
