who is fan of another SEC team we play in every sport. (*unless he's a grad student who attended Bama first)

And I'm sure it's the same if they attend other schools. The lifelong Auburn, Tennessee, LSU, and even Ole Miss fans seem to start pulling for State quickly after getting on campus. But the Bama fans seem to take a while to ditch the crimson. I guess they figure that much like the rest of the fanbase, they aren't going to school in Tuscaloosa too.

I took the liberty to award us with the 1941 Natl title on the "Mississippi State Football" wikipedia page.

a truck passed us (and the nice passenger shot us the bird) with a ton of Bama crap on it, complete with some sort of GOTIDE-esque personalized tag. Once they were in front of us we noticed the freaking MSU parking sticker on the bumper. The next year we almost got into it with some Bama fans in the student section (as in we heckled them so much they moved) who one of our friends recognized, since they lived down the hall from him in Hightower.

and there's a few we could claim that we currently do not...

it depends on one's guidelines for determining thier own idea of what a NC is.....

I can actually agree with you on that one, screw Notre Dame and Mich State playing to a freaking tie! Furthermore calling it the 'game of the century'. Maybe for girls who don't want to man up and try to win.

Why don't y'all just switch 1941 to 1966. If your just making claims it makes so much more sense.

such as education, major, or cost of education.

I went to State, graduated from a program that was not offered at Alabama, and was able to pay about half (paying out-of-state tuition since I was from Alabama)of what I would have paid to attend UA in a similar major. For some reason the out-of-state waiver did not count for my particular major.

I support MSU and hope they do well in all sports, but will always be a Bama fan first.

support MSU. We play each other in every sport in the same division of the same conference. You have a degree with Mississippi State University on your wall.

I don't see how it's possible to pull for both Alabama and Mississippi State. Seems sort of mutually exclusive to me.

But for this year at least, non resident tuition for MSU is $13800 per semester if you are a full time student.

A full time resident student at UA will pay $3950 per semester.

I have a really tough time believing that you could have gone to school at MSU at any point paying out of state tuition and it cost you half of what in-state tuition cost you at UA. As a matter of fact, if you look at both of those links, you will notice that MSU is currently more expensive for in-state & out of state tuition than UA.

Current rates dont mean much. My freshman year, I believe I paid just over 3K per semester. I believe I paid about $4500 for the last semester. Alabama was going to be around $4100 per semester during my freshman year.

So it was not half, obviously, but it was less expensive for a major that was not offered at UA.

There were only 11-12 schools in the nation that offered my major at the time I went to school. And no, none were in Alabama and it is still that was today.

what the 17 is this major that (you believe) is only offered by 11 schools? And you're telling me MSU was one of them? Also, the Y and S keys are WAS WAF WAH
WAY too far away on the keyboard for that mistake.
