We just witnessed the best chance we'll have to win anything for a while. When you're MSU you have to take those games bc another isn't coming for more than a decade.

im the eternal pessimist, but I disagree. Beat om and I have lil doubt we are in playoff. Once there, on a neutral field, we have as good as shot as anybody

We'll be back next year. Assuming Dak and JRob stick around (I think it's more likely than not now), our offense will roll. The big thing will be if we can keep Collins around.

You need to take that **** somewhere else. I hate that oh me attitude. We are going to to at baseball and football. That is national championship. We still may one in football this year and baseball there's no reason we can't this year either.

The hell with that. We won't fall further than 5th, and we may stay in the top 4. Win these last 2 games and we've got a very good chance of being in the playoff.

They will bend over backwards to keep from having 2 SEC teams. Our chance was Saturday and we didn't take advantage. All the guys saying we aren't out if it were saying we'd beat Bama. They'll say we are going to win in Oxford, but I doubt it. If OM has a pulse they win the Egg at home and vice versa.

I think in the need for the committee in the minds of many was to break up the SEC monopoly of the NC and get other conferences/regions of the country involved. If you don`t think the hatred of "SEC bias" is real you`re fooling yourself. Don`t need to look for any SEC gifts from this very subjective method of choosing the four playoff teams.

Yea, black helicopters n stuff. And I had us losing close at bama, and I still think we are top 4 if we win out. The four teams competing for the final spot right now (I'm assuming Oregon, bama, and fl st are 1-3) are us, tcu, Baylor, and ohio st (om is next by the way and has a shot). We have to win out, but if we do, our resume is objectively better than the other three. Look at the numbers. Plus our one loss is better than anybody else's one loss. Everybody just calm the heck down and direct your attention towards winning out, bc if we do that, we are in good shape.

This brings a whole new meaning to debbie downer. Its one loss that will more than likely keep us at worst fifth in the big scheme. Please stop being State fans because you are the reason we as a fanbase are constantly looking for the rain clouds. The past has nothing to do with today. Pathetic.

If you think we'd get in over a one-loss conference champ (TCU, Baylor, OSU) you haven't been paying attention.

If the SEC gets two teams, which it won't, that means two conference champions get left out. That will not happen. Period. With a formula, maybe, but not with a committee. Our playoff was yesterday. We need Auburn to win the Iron Bowl to have a 2nd chance.

11-1 out of the sec west should get you in. If not there is no credibility in the committee. Esp if Bama wins out. Only caveat is if you jerk around with vandy. A close win would hurt

I agree

We have to beat the hell out of Vandy. We do that and win the Egg Bowl I think we are in

I disagree. Mainly because we're so much further than we ever have been before, or since 1941. We've never won a game like that in our history, unless you count Auburn earlier this year. We are 10-2 at minimum, which roughly equals our best season in modern history in 1999. How exactly was that another game we have to "take" if we've never taken anything before? We've already done that. Winning yesterday would mean doing something that's NEVER been done at MSU. Tall task for anything.

And even better, win out, and it's still our best season ever.

What has the committee done to make you think they will not leave two conference champions out?

They've said that winning your conference matters.

I would be be totally flabbergasted if 11-1 MSU went over 12-1 OSU. I think we are better but there will be politics played in that committee. There always are. They aren't going to want to set the precedent that winning one of the power 5 with one loss isn't good enough. Especially if the team squeezed out is not a big time name. Would love to be wrong, but I'm extremely skeptical.

Not to mention we could end up 0-1 vs committee ranked teams. A&M, LSU, OM, Aub could all be unranked come Dec. 7.

True, but they have said it is one criterion, Along with several others. Our one loss is better, our wins are better. Our nonconference is better than Baylor. I may be wrong, but believe We are fine if we just win out.
