Tubby has fired 2 offensive coordinators in the last 10 months (one in the middle of the season) because both were as bad as we have been for 5 years

but... but... he ran the spread

that **** they were running doesnt look like Missouri, West Virginia, Texas Tech, Florida, LSU, or any other decent spread team out there. Hiring someone that sold videos out of his trunk just a few years ago doesnt make him a good coach nor them a spread team

but you might wanna take out West Virginia from your "the spread offense is great" list, since they are 66th currently in total offense.

if we dont' win another game he gets paid $1.7M per win. that is easily enough for me not to like someone. and this goes along with the fact that he is stubborn as a mule. i hate that about him.

i will concede that everyone appears to think he is a really nice guy. but as the saying goes....nice guys never win.

Franklin was Lowder's choice all the way. When the offense didn't perform, Tubbs saw his chance and took it. I say good for him.

There are a boatload of high schools running his offense across America and he made a ton of money selling those videos, as well as putting on clinics, while teaching the spread. He is known as the godfather of the spread offense around the country. It does not matter what you think of him as all of those coaches eating his words up say more about his rep than your thoughts. His tenure at Auburn has simply proved that without the right talent and players the spread won't work. I would venture to say that Auburn has a little more talent, top to bottom, than State does.

but i'll just exploit this one:

"I would venture to say that Auburn has a little more talent, top to bottom, than State does."

If you want to go by offensive rankings the last year and a half, then actually they dont.

and run the same old crap the SEC has been known for. POWER!!!
He doesn't have the players to run the spread.
We should get a coach that runs and recruits for the spread option offense. Then we wouldn't be always recruiting head to head with the Al, LSU, Ar, etc.

Auburn's run power for exactly one quarter this entire season. The first quarter of the Vandy game. That's been their biggest problem. Tate's a power back and they tried to make an east-west runner out of him.

Like it really matters by this point. Why don't we just nose dive the numbers into the ground and create a nice level surface for the next sub-par group of misfits that were able to convince some panel of stuffed shirts that they new what they were doing. If we are going to have a decent team in anything we need the caliber of coaches and players to do it with.
