Gotta admit, this is depressing...

...watching the SEC championship, not being there, not being part of the playoff conversation. Great season but still depressing.

Dadburnit, I don't care what bowl game we play in, I want 1) a team ready to play, 2) a well thoughtout gameplan with good offensive play calling, and 3) a W at the end of the game!!! If we play like we did a couple years back in the Gator Bowl, I'm going to be hacked!!!

Gotta walk before you run.... I'm with you overall, just trying to stay positive. The realist in me says we burned the best opportunity we'll ever live to see. The fan in me says why can't we sustain it how Baylor has?

I'm with you, brutha. As long as our coaches (who are paid extremely big bucks) learn from their mistakes, there's no reason we can't become a marquee program.

I think most of Dans teams going forward

Will be of similar talent levels to this one, but what makes us unlikely to do what Baylor has done, is that we play in a mich tougher conference. We caught LSUS, Auburn, aTm, and Arky on down years.

One thing that does have me curious, is what if we flipped the site of our games and played OM/Bama at home? I think we could still beat aTm and Auburn on the road... Arky would've been really tough. And I think we beat OM at home. Bama is always Bamae, but we'd probably have not **** the bed in the first half as well as we did if we were at home.

Dan has upped our expectations. The stadium is beautiful. The atmosphere is SEC quality. The fans attitude has changed. He has said many times that's what he has wanted. Will be interesting to see how HE handles it now that he has achieved all these things.

I'm excited about pleasant red-shirt surprises going forward. We've never had depth, even Jackie's best years were dice rolls with Jucos. I think this was the first year you could really see how the red-shirt mindset can change a program. If we can reload instead of rebuild every year, then maybe we fiip the script and have one down year every four or five, instead of one up year every four or five.

^^. Cinderella doesn't exist in college football. We managed to hold that position for several weeks, but slipped toward the end. Look at Oregon. They didn't just jump up and start competing for the national title year in and year out. They had some frustrating losses that kept them out of the title game until last year. You gotta build up to that. Hopefully this year is a big first step toward sustained competitiveness.

Here's one of the biggest things. No team will skull drag us like they used to. We will almost always be in the game. We're not a easy win for anyone now. And that will help with recruiting a ton.

I think we caught everyone but Ole Miss in a down year. I think this is the weakest Bama has been in Mullen's tenure. Not likely to happen again soon. Especially when you consider the East draw and the end of the four automatic non-conference wins. I've resigned myself that this year was the closest we get to a natty in my lifetime.

Do me a favor.

STFU. All of you need to go trim your beaves.

Our momentum in bringing in quality players to the program has only just begun.

We will be back.

We could've beaten Bama at home last year. They'll always be good, but we'll have a chance at home.

What have the coaches done in the last 2 years to make you think they learn from mistakes?

Just think, after you're dead

it isn't your problem anymore. Only then will you truly find peace.

there are a couple of teams playing right now that we might get matched up against who will see our secondary for the matadors they are...dont have to call it skull dragging when boat race fits better.

I think 10 - 2 and 5 weeks at number 1 are pretty good evidence they're learning from their mistakes.

There's a reason his username is Cookie Monster, he subconsiously selected that name because he is the most negative person in America. Dude has got some serious issues. You need to be medicated. Every single one of your posts are negative about a team your supposed to pull for. I'm starting to wonder if your not a rebel

well, you can ease your pain a bit. we are a really good team, but straight up, we are not national championship material. we just dont have the offensive line and secondary to compete with the best. that is the truth. we aint there yet....so its not like we were ever going to win it with those weaknesses.

Can we please quit saying this is a depressing season and this is the best chance we will ever have at an SEC championship or NC?! Most wins ever, let's get behind this team and win the bowl game and expect more. Wake up people, we can do this!

i think you have oscar the grouch and the cookie monster confused. usually, all he wants is cookies and he (to me) seems fairly positive about obtaining said cookies. oscar is a ***** tho.
