Gotta bad feeling

Had this sense of impending doom countless times. Such as:

1992 South Carolina
1994 against O'BANNON brothers
1999 Ark game
2012 TAM game
Ten years worth of Bama games
This year's World Series
Whenever Shmuley dishes out accolades
2001-2008 entire football seasons
Every season under Rick Ray

I've been right more often than not, but I hope I'm wrong. Pessimistic as hell. Someone talk me out of it. Flame away sunshine pumpers.

Lets be fair: if you're a State fan you could have a bad feeling before any game and be right more often than wrong.

I want to tell you how dumb you are and we aren’t the state teams of the 50s and 60s.

But I’ve had that same freaking feeling for a week or so as well.

Nah, man. I know the typical State fan "Hope we make a bowl game and anything more is playing with house money" mindset. Live it, breathe it.

This is different.

It’s a feeling that dwells deep in depths of our bowels/anus, only revealing itself in times of don't need. And right now, I don’t need that ****.

What is it you have a bad feeling about?

I’ve noticed pretty much every week that someone on here has a bad feeling. You boys have too many feelings.

We may as well be down ten scholarships this year, which is essentially what Ole Miss was and we all talked about how their depth is one of the reasons they sucked so bad. So, yeah, I’m kind of with you. I’m not all giddy right now, especially since we don’t know who is suspended. If it comes out that it’s a bunch of rs freshman or backup backups, then I may have a hint of being indifferent on expectations.

Any significant injuries.....and it's gonna get ugly.

Ole miss has really bad players + no depth. Most people know who is suspended. I’ve listed the names in another thread. It’s 2 starters and a bunch of RS freshman. It boils down to some starters will have to play on some special teams and we need to stay relatively healthy, especially on the D line. There’s 8 games where the outcome is basically already decided

4 OOC games
Kentucky
Tennessee
Arky
Ole miss

Unless we completely sh:& the bed we are winning those games. We’ll need to have those guys play in our 3 toss up games to have a chance to win imho (auburn , a&M, LSU). Of course injuries could effect our W/L total but that’s every team. I understand Friday was kind of depressing but we got off extremely light and it’s a new season with what should be another solid year and 10 straight bowl games. I’m pumped

I actually think we could lose one of our first four games and still end up going 8-4. Wouldn’t shock me at all if we lost a game we aren’t supposed to but get it together late in the year and beat a team or two that we’re counting as a loss right now.

I guess I’m just trying to say that in the event something does go wrong early on, it doesn’t necessarily mean it will be that way the whole year. I doubt many would’ve told you before last year that we would lose to Kentucky but beat Auburn and A&M. The same team that lost to South Alabama in 2016 beat a Top 5 A&M team and won the Egg Bowl by 35.

A college football season is always a roller coaster, just have to remember to never get too high or too low with it.

You can relax for this weekend. Just looked at the "Ragin Pagin" ULL message board and all ten of their fans are blowin' right pass this game as a big "L". They say their defense suxs and their QB (5'11" 185 lbs) is prone to turnovers because of lack of OL protection. Now as far as the other 11 games...........

There also is some talk on the board about lack of attendance and the alumni was not able to put together a bus package for our game in NOLA.

We are stupid if we do not substitute Auburn and Bama and play everyone against UT and Kentucky. We need those two games. Look, at the moment we are a huge underdog to Bama. Why let all those players play that game versus UT?

I think you’re underestimating just how bad Tennessee and Kentucky are going to be this year. We don’t necessarily Need anyone of those 10
Players to beat those team. Tennessee is really really bad and Kentucky we get at home in a revenge game. We can beat auburn and LSU & a&M

I gotta bad feeling that WIllie Gay ain't playin. However, I have a good feeling that Errol is going to make at least half their offense want to retire from football.

Not sure why you have OM as an already decided win. I think the series has shown it isnt about what team has more talent on paper or who is playing at home.

The season in general. If we limp out of the superdome with a Troy-like 10-6 win, then it's Hello Darkness my old friend

Ole Miss is going to be horrible. A lot of things can happen, with injuries and such, but right now it's almost a guaranteed win. I'd bet most advanced metrics will have us as an 80% favorite in that game, at minimum.

You guys are WAY too concerned over these suspensions. All but two of the players were going to be special teams contributors at most, and the other two were in the 2-deep depth chart.

It’s really not a big deal at all, basically the same as dealing with an injury or two.

I hope that is true, but Autry has been listed as 1 of the 10 and he was the only DT with any experience. Most have said that 8 of the offenders are redshirt freshmen. Lovett, Crumedy, & Young are Rfr. If any of them are actually on the list I feel way worse about the DT situation than I did, especially without Gay to back them up. So yeah, until we find out who isn't playing 8 games I am worried that this could cost us 2 additional losses on the season.

This is how I feel. Sucks to be without Gay and Autry, it really does. But, assuming the rumored list is accurate, if we were counting on any of the other guys do get meaningful snaps on anything besides special teams or mop up time, we weren't as good as any of us thought anyway.

After 7 months of Moorhead hate and negativity I am not surprise. State will win this game. Too much talent on roster.

I hope you're wrong too.

I sometimes get these feelings before games too. Last year, I felt it before the Kentucky game.

I don't have that feeling for this week's game, so I think we're gonna roll.

I have no idea what/who Louisiana has on their team. I just have the feeling we're going to beat the 17 out of them.

Hope that helps.

Slight exaggeration, but yeah. Given Moorhead's record against overmatched teams, I'll be surprised and disappointed if we don't cover the 20 point spread.

Heard a radio guy saying Mullen was trying to cover the spread when he called that late pass play. Mullen is supposedly historically good at covering the spread. I don't gamble but do follow that side of the game.

The talent gap between us and ole miss is pretty wide. We aren’t losing that game at home.

Nah. I've lost enough on him at State ( I won with Miami this weekend ) to know he isn't that great. Hell that South Alabama game I lost on the money line ruined my entire season as far as money lost/won.
