What the politically correct thing is to do. I'm sure the Ohio State fans are hating on him right now. But he is right on that call. Changed the outcome of the game. Craft was no where near set before the Iowa State guy was already well into his basketball move. He may not have been in the air yet but craft definitely moved in and under him and did not give the player room to come down from his basketball move. Cost Iowa state the game and Sir Charles made sure the country knew it.

While I basically agree with your assessment, that's not what Barkley was saying. He said it was a block because Craft was in the restricted area because his foot was above the line. Greg Anthony tried to make the hovering argument, and Barkley dropped a Chico please on him. Then the NCAA supervisor of officials came on and said they missed the call not because Craft was moving (which he did not address) but because with Craft's foot over the line he was not in a legal defensive position.

The powers that be are going to reward teams like Ohio State playing in Dayton, Kansas playing in Kansas City and Louisville playing in Lexington (sure it's technically their arch-rivals court, but still.). They're obviously willing to go all-out with these home field advantages and include refs in the tank as part of the deal.
