"I literally laughed out loud at every single status update that mentioned how proud people were of their precious Bulldogs or Golden Eagles. Hey, guess what, y'all looked bad too, and in more ways than one. State, LSU tried every chance they had to give you the game and you just wouldn't take it. Plus, your offensive guru of a head coach couldn't score with 4 inches to go. Dan Mullen is every bit as over his head as Ed Orgeron was as a head coach. Their secondary sucks, the offensive line is pitiful, and they don't have a quarterback. I don't follow State's recruiting that closely, but State's always had trouble getting good quarterbacks. Not to mention your uniforms look like something out of C-USA."

We didn't see the nationally televised game last Thursday night on ESPN, so we're not sure what all the national talk about the most overrated team in college football this year is about.

Sincerely,

The only three people in America who don't get ESPN.

State, LSU tried every chance they had to give you the game and you just wouldn't take it. -- If anyone was trying to give the game away on Saturday it was us.

Plus, your offensive guru of a head coach couldn't score with 4 inches to go.--As much as the play calls have been debated, it came down to execution. Third and fourth down were wide open.

Dan Mullen is every bit as over his head as Ed Orgeron was as a head coach. --while this remains to be seen, I'm going to have to disagree.

Their secondary sucks, the offensive line is pitiful, and they don't have a quarterback.--Yes, the secondary sucks (thanks Sly!). We know we don't have a quarterback (thanks Sly!). The offensive line is really improving. Let's see if Ole Miss' revolving door of a left tackle can claim no sacks after their game with LSU.

I don't follow State's recruiting that closely, but State's always had trouble getting good quarterbacks.--No argument here.

Not to mention your uniforms look like something out of C-USA.--you're confusing us with the last 5 years.

Another UM fan that is bored with their message boards so he has to come read ours. Cant believe he had the nerve to talk about QB's. From that National ESPN *** WHOOPIN they received last week, I dont think they should make fun of other peoples QB's unless they have a descent one of their own.

Dan Mullen >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Ed Orgeron. End of story.

Our secondary does suck. I'll give you that.

And at this point in the season, MSU offensive line >>>>>>>>>>>>> Ole Miss offensive line. Yeah, I said it.

I really think some of our Rebel friends are a little nervous about Mullen and are trying to convince themselves that he's our Ed Orgeron. Which wouldn't necessarily be a terrible thing. Orgeron deserves as much credit as Nutt does for their 9-4 season last year. He recruited almost every player that made any significant contributions for them last year.

When it comes to us. Other than being young and energetic, there is little to compare between the two.

I usually avoid facebook after a big loss. It won't do anything but piss you off.

"State, LSU tried every chance they had to give you the game and you just wouldn't take it."
I figured someone would have that view. However, the "if's" of this game went both ways. LSU had their dumb mistakes and mishaps, but we had plenty. What if Lee doesn't throw the pick 6? What if we didn't botch the snap on the field goal before the half? What if Zack Smith actually wraps up their return man at the 8-yard line like he should have? What if Lee throws the ball 6 inches higher on 3rd and goal?

But, I expected rival fans to play the "LSU just tried to give you the game" card.

went up against O, it would be no contest. Mullen would humiliate him- which is somewhat of a feat based on O's antics.

If I may, and this is a little early to do this, but I would compare Mullen to Tuberville when he was at Ole Miss.

That's intelligent. 90+ yd punt return? Botched field goal snap? any of this ring a bell with this douche? (not you kissinger, I know it was a quote). I think LSU played as sound, fundamentally, as they could have with pretty much no mistakes. We wrapped this thing in purple and mustard yellow and begged them to take it, and they refused until late in the 4th.

Dan Mullen >>>>> Ed Orgeron.

I like everything I've seen from him as a coach and read about him in the media. I gave a big thumbs up when y'all hired him. Quality, quality pick. Will be a huge pain for us very soon. MSU is on its way back up.

However, for the record...

Gerry DiNardo >>>> Ed Orgeron

Well, let's not get carried away.

Dan Mullen is "at least" light years ahead of the org as far as being a head coach. He knows whats going on and doesn't look like a deer in the head light pacing the side lines like a lost
puppy like the org did. You know, that org "why did I go for it on 4th down" look.

because almost upsetting the #7 team in the country is exactly the same as shitting the bed as the #4 team and losing to an unranked team. Exactly the same thing.

I mean, he was left with players not up to snuff at those positions, among others, yet he has them nearly knocking off LSU in his 4th game as head coach. Yet, he's Ed Orgeron. Ed Orgeron coaching this team would have them at 1-3 with a blowout loss at home to LSU.

lets don't anoint mullen yet just because he got close. I think he will be a good coach but the jury is still out.

although they weren't the Nick Saban Tide at the time. But in O's second year we won the Moral Victory National Championship with losses to UGA by 5, Bama by 3, Auburn by 6, and LSU by 3.

Mullen was left with crap and his staff has them playing 1000 times better than last season. They simply didn't play LSU close, they outplayed LSU, and we also outcoached LSU. The only reason we lost is the huge holes we have in talent at certain positions, namely CB and QB. We had a great gameplan and we did a great job of coaching in the game. I'm not saying Mullen is going to end up being the greatest head coach ever, but anyone with sense knew that Orgeron wasn't going to work out from day one. That guy only knew how to do two things: recruit and jump around like an idiot.
