Are there differentiated sides or is it just wherever you can get a seat? Do we have to get the tickets through Ticketmaster?

there are no "officially" designated sides, but MSU should be the "home" team, and will therefore be sitting in the third base dugout. So, if you want to sit where there is a higher density of MSU fans, buy tickets on the third base side. I suspect that's also where the MSU players parents will be sitting as well in all likelihood. I once sat by Nick Hardy's Mom on that side two years ago, and she pointed out a few other parents to me.

There will be State and Ole Miss fans intermingled no matter where you sit, but it's a little bit less neutral behind both dugouts.

As far as getting tickets- Personally I'm getting mine through Ticketmaster, but you could also check out the Mississippi Braves website mississippibraves.com and go under tickets and they may be selling them there (probably through ticketmaster) ticketmaster.com. You could also probably go to Trustmark Park at the ticket office in person and get some, or you could also call Trustmark Park and get some as well.

Unless the Braves have changed office hours, they are open Mon.- Fri. from 9-5 and their phone numbers are 601-932-8788 or 888-BRAVES.

And I'm going to channel my inner Ninja here and say we need as many MSU fans as possible to show up. The last two years, there were more Ole Miss people than State people, which is understandable because we had an intramural team two years ago and a shell shocked team last year vs two teams that were SR caliber. But we need to paint the TP maroon and white not only during the Gov Cup, but also when we play USM. If we don't have more fans than JSU at the TP, I'm going to be pissed. But that won't happen.

But I will say this- you probably need to get tickets very soon if you want to sit with MSU people because it will be packed and if the tickets are selling as quickly as I think they will, you will have to sit wherever you can get a seat. There will be MSU people throughout the park, so don't worry about that even if you sit behind the Ole Miss dugout.

Worst case scenario is you have to sit on the grass in center field, which I have done a couple of times for Braves games. It's not all that bad, but you might want to bring a blanket. And I think there are also some standing room only sections, so you can probably get a ticket in, but if you want a seat, you need to act pretty soon.

I'll order my tickets tomorrow and try to get them in your suggested location.
