Grabbing the 16th regional....

I posted a few days ago about our far fetched chances of hosting, but looking at what we have left, is it completely out of the question? Southern Miss and Arky winning tonight doesn't help. But, Our RPI is steadily climbing. If we sweep either da bears or lsu and beat memphis, that would be a serious hot streak towards the end of the year (assuming we don't STB in Hoover). Is it feasible? Someone with better knowledge please chime in.............

on Boyd's we would have to win out to climb into the top 16 in rpi. I don't see much feasible way of entering the host picture without an incredible win streak that would extend into the SEC tourney. Best scenario would put us as a #2 in Hattiesburg.

but geez a 2 seed at USM (who may be a top 8 national seed) is just as good as hosting opposite Virginia or Vanderbilt in a Super Regional scenario.
