Graham vs Gate City Benefit game updates.

GC pucks up 2 first downs in first 4 downs running the ball. Cam Allen picks off the GC qb at Graham 32.
Gate City is very big and physical up front. Bust a long run up the middle. First and ten deep in Graham territory.
Only counting 39 dressed for Graham with one hurt. Graham holds on 4 th and short. GC misses about a 28 yard fg
Reed for Graham picks up about 30 on a run around the end on first play. Devin Lester goes for about 20 on short pass. Lester again on short pass for 15 next play. Dang GC is big. Reed runs about 15 to the 7 of Gate City. Reed spins and runs over defenders to score the td for Graham. XP from Curto is good.

Cam Allen tips GC pass, Lester picks it off. G men take over. Graham recovers own fumbles on first and second down. Cooke scores for Graham from 57 yards out on an amazing run after catch. XP for Graham good.

Lots of sloppy play on both sides. If Graham's qb would tuck it and run he has wide open spaces. Maybe the coach wants him to work on his passing. But passing game is not good.
GCs best success has come off tackle with thwir big RB.

Graham's Reed with a shoulder injury. That will be huge if he can't go against Bluefield.

Graham's QB starter should be Lester. The Allen kid should be WR, Flanker, Slot. The bad snaps and QB miscues will end up costing Graham. The Allen kid is an athlete, but not a QB. The ball still has to get from point A to point B and by watching these kids and in warmups, the Lester kid throws the ball better. Allen is also more of a threat out of the backfield and WR.
I was disappointed in the sloppy play for Graham. Way too many bad snaps from the center. The qbs did not have a good outing for either team.
Reed for Graham is an impressive running back, hope he is not out long with the injury he got today.
Graham has a huge upside, lots of athleticism but the mistakes and mental errors were numerous tonight. If Reed can't go Friday, Bluefield will beat Graham pretty soundly.
Why in the world doesn't Graham try to get their athletes in space more with slants and hooks, etc... Instead of throwing into double coverage on the sideline.

If anybody knows about the running back from Graham's injury status, please update. That would be a huge loss for them. I hear he is a great kid and it would be a tough break.
