Here's the article. I don't think Prescott can win the Heisman (because I don't think we'll win enough or that he'll have the stats of other contenders), but I also know lazy journalism when I see it. It's less than fair to throw a players' game log up and not mention that he split time with two other QBs last season.

Anyway, thought I'd share it.

I haven't yet seen a journalist mention that he essentially played half a season. If they do mention he played a limited season, they mention that he played in 8 games and word it to sound like he played the entirety of 8 games.

I don't expect anyone other than MSU fans and some of our opponents who got to see him last year to understand.

It's Mariota's Heisman to win this year, and if it comes down to those 2... Mariota sure has a better resume so far.

Such is

the world of modern "journalism." Any hack can start up a website and print garbage. People are too lazy to know the difference.

Predicting the Heisman in the preseason has been pointless the last several years. You could give every media member 10 picks on who wins it and you'll probably have 10% max name the eventual winner. Everyone will put down 5 guys whose turn it is to fly to NYC, 1 defensive player, 1 player from a crap conference, 3 dark horses, and 1 guy you've never heard of. Winston and Johnny Football were both in the last category.

its the same level as the bleacher report...volunteer writers and such. the kid is 12...how much could he know about football? poor kid was 7 when tim tebow was off smashing defenses into the ground. my mom has watched more football than this guy and she doesnt even like football that much.
