Grayson did sly shove a guy in the back when he was taking off. The guy wasn't happy about it either. He's got to clean it up or he'll be fighting his reputation forever. He's not trying to hurt anyone, just piss them off. It's unnecessary.

Yeah, saw that, and another one. Not a big fan of Grayson's style.

I can't begin to tell you how many trips, near trips, shoves, elbows, forearms, and crap happen on the court that have not been called for Duke and other schools as well.
Ever thought especially after GA tech people are gonna make a scene over anything petty.
I agree Grayson needs to stop with nonsense but he ain't the only kid

I've watched it over and over and Grayson looks to me like he was trying to catch his own balance to keep from falling but I'm a Duke fan. Whatever he does is going to be scrutinized. If bodies fly and he is around it's going to be his fault. He's got to deal with it because he put that target on his back. It's like when you were in elementary school and you keep on doing something to annoy the teacher like farting out loud in class for lack of a better crime. The teacher tells you to stop or your parents are going to be called. You do stop but another kid farts. Guess what. Who's in trouble. OFC

This kinda crap happens in football all the time with those guys and it's a 15 yard penalty whether it's grabbing a jersey or tripping by offensive lineman, I know it's a different sport and I'm not condoning Graysons behavior, but good grief I'm tired of the kid facing the media firing squad like this is the worse thing going on in the sports world. I almost want to write ESPN and tell them they need to get over themselves and come off there perfect high.

Seth Greenberg on Sports Center literally just broke the play down & acted it out on set... I guess he brought it on himself, but come on...

Seth Greenburg coached the biggest bunch of punks and d-bags I have seen in my 30+ years of watching ACC bball.

Looked to me like Grayson did something intentional there. Seems to have impulse control issues that are triggered by frustration. Doesn't make him a bad guy, but those are issues that don't get under control in a week.

No one is under the microscope more than Grayson Allen right now. Everyone is going to over analyze everything he does.

Having said that, I don't possibly see how that's a natural leg movement.

It looked like he was attempting to sell the moving pick. Dramatic Flailing is all the rage!

I agree with both of your points. To me it looked like their feet got tangled and Grayson was about to lose his balance and threw his leg up to regain his balance, it just happened that the BC player was behind him but like you said, unfortunately he's brought this on himself as a result of the incidents last season and the incident this season, so everything that happens around him on the court is going to be over analyzed by everyone.

If Grayson scratches his a$$ and touches a player while doing so its going to be scrutinized. Its silly but I guess he brought it on himself. I love how the article says he MIGHT have been involved in a NEAR tripping incident. This season just gets crazier and crazier.

When watching the game I did not even notice the play in question until it blew up in the media. Which to me indicates it was a normal basketball play. The slight shove I did notice and that needs to be cleaned up. However does any one questions a coaches a character when they go balistic on a ref red in the face? Have to be to held back by other coaches? What about Goran Dragic and Jordan Clarkson last night.... where is the outrage over that incident, far worse than anything Grayson has done... not condoning Grayson's past trips but this is just ridiculous. Time to move on.

This old fart really blew it this time. For some reason I thought this was a DI poll and posted something about the poll not being accurate because thr and UK posters would all vote yes which they did except 3, me and 2 other guys. They are giving me the devil
( pun intended ) and they should. I did delete my post though and I'm sure they will get a kick out of that.Did find out that I can post on thr but probably not for long. Make sure you know where you are before you post though. I humbled and embarrassed but it was funny though. OFC

They're talking about it on sports center now and it's one of the most talked about "stories" on social media today.

Sports Center isn't really even running it as a "Did Grayson try anything?" and instead basically just saying Grayson kicked a player in the groin and nothing was called.

I guess if one thinks it's a trip it's a trip. If one thinks it's not it's not. Getting pretty old. The ACC said couldn't tell anyway and if swofford wants Grayson suspended he would have already done so. I guess the best thing for Grayson is just not to touch anyone and stay away from any opposing player that falls down. Don't beside surprised to see guys Grayson's guarding to be hitting the floor. So if Grayson falls down would it have been called a moving screen? Or a foul on Grayson?
I'm done and this is all coming from a bunch of annaylist and board posters who either couldn't coach worth a crap ( Seth) or old players who couldn't make it in the league.
Grayson, maybe you should transfer to another school and I bet we'd never hear your name again except for your scoring.
Sorry kid it's not right and the media is blowing to much up.

I actually saw one ESPN guy hit the nail on the head (don't know who he is, it's in their video on the college basketball front page). Anytime Grayson's body moves in even the slightest awkward way everybody is going to claim he tried to do something malicious.

I'm not talking about the length of the suspension...I would have sat him 3 games....but K is the coach and he decided 1 was enough....that's good for me if K feels that's enough
Why isn't K's decision good enough for you?!?1?
Sheesh.

Because people are insecure and it gives into the masses who hate Duke, K and great white Duke players. It gives them their soap box moment to be holier than thou which appeased the haters. No one and I mean no one is under a microscope more in any sport than Grayson is right now. People are foaming at the mouth talking about him.

Oh so now I hate duke,K and white players....ok gotcha

I've probably been a duke fan longer than most people on this board...not all but probably a big majority of them

That's what you took from that, but yet you called out Datt for putting words in your mouth. Ironic.

From my POV I'm reading these reactions to no one. Again, use the 'ignore' feature on whomever is bothering ya'll. It's fantastic.

Or because they can think for themselves and find the punishment lacking? There's a difference between support and unquestioned support. I believe the poster is well within his rights as a Duke fan to distinguish between the two. In this case, I happen to agree with him - Grayson has issues that require more than a week to eliminate - I believe we'll come to regret him taking the floor again so soon.

Explain his issues and then tell me how sitting out 3,5,10 games or the whole season will solve them. Just curious on your perspective how sitting out games will solve his issues.
