I'd rather not have to cringe every time we kick off and they run it back to the 50.

I can't count the number of kickers over the years who "kicked it into the end zone" in practice before we ever saw them play who couldn't get it into the end zone during games. Still, he should be an improvement over Carlson. I think he only got a couple of kickoffs all year to the end zone.

if you did decide to bring it out, he'd come lay the lumber.

i remember hearing that jackie let him try a 70 yard field goal in practice (after constant begging). it was a snapper, holder, and kicker drill. ball was snapped, and walker drilled a low line drive... right into the back of the snapper's head. supposedly knocked him out.

but I there are many sex offenders on the street right now. If they do go to jail, it seems like it isn't for that long of a time, but again I don't know the law.

I know of one guy that did something very similar to Walker and he was charged, but I don't remember him going to jail. If he did, it wasn't long.

that most (if not all) of walker's sentence was suspended. the girl was 17, if i remember the story correctly. that's tough. but with first offenders and a generally overcrowded and underfunded prison system, suspended sentences are just part of it.

...unless you're in a position of power or trust like a teacher, boss, or something like that. But I'm not a lawyer and I didn't go anywhere near a Holiday Inn Express last night, and certainly not with a 16 year old.
