I would just like to say that I have been reading this board for over a year now. I graduated from State in '94 and there is lots of good information and I consider this my primary source for MSU news. But I have never seen a bigger group of fair weather fans in my life. I admit that Stans is not a great floor coach and sometimes it drives me insane with the decisions he makes. But, the way some of ya'll jump on and off the MSU bandwagon is terrible. We are a young team, yes other teams are young too. But we will win some games that we should not(tonight at Kentucky) and we will lose some games that we shouldn't (see Ole Miss). To add to our youth, we are a three point shooting team which makes us even more inconsistent. It is amazing that most people before the Ole Miss game were saying that we would finish around 12-4 in the SEC or better. After the loss everyone thinks we will finish 8-8 or 9-7. Please just calm down people! I don't know what we will finish but to go from one extreme to the next is terrible. And since this is my first post I would like to get some other things off my chest:

Why does Coach34 cream over every other coach in the SEC that Stansbury faces? It is scary and makes no sense. Brady, Gottfired, Pelfrey, Gillespie, Kennedy, etc. I mean some of these guys may have a few more accomplishments than Stans as far as tourney runs. But, to hear Coach34 you would think that they all won 5 NC's and Stansbury has never won more than 10 games. In my opinion, Pelfrey sucks, Brady and Gottfried were canned, and Gillespie seems to be doing less with more than any other team in the SEC.

Some of the Rebel posters over here actually contribute to the forum. But some (Vanilla Face) are the biggest homers I have ever seen. I am so sick of hearing how all of their two and three star players are diamonds in the rough (we trust in Nutt) and ours are terrible and won't qualify. Just in case you did not know Chad Bumphis was 10th on their board. WTF ever! They would take most of our recruits in a heartbeat and we would take a good number of theirs as well. They have a great coach and had a great season there is no need to bring us down from our recruiting high.

Speaking of recruiting, please refrain from making negative comments about Ole Miss' recruiting class. Unfortunately, you will be eating your words. I wish I had some inside State sources but in my line of work I deal with lots of Ole Miss prominent alumni and get the scoop from them. Patterson, Massie, and Cotton are pretty much locks at this point and don't be suprised if they land Skinner and Marlon Brown. This is a very good possibility.

Ravern Johnson is sick. One of the best young players I have seen at State.

Great post! I am also sick of every thread being taken over by a Rebel!! Last I checked this was a maroon and white board.

What I am not allowed to say that Stans is not a terrible coach? If I think Stansbury is a decent coach, then I am from Genes Page? Like I said, I think he is a pretty good coach and I don't think there is anyway to deny that. I am not saying he is an elite coach or even a top coach in the SEC, but to think he just sucks is retarded.

He just gets under my skin and that is probably his goal on this board. I actually believe that he may have some knowledge as a coach. But deep down he has to be an alumni from Ole Miss, LSU, or just some other school. The way he just goes from coach to coach trying to prove a point as to how they are better than Stansbury is laughable. First it was Brady and Gottfried, and then they went down hill so he had to go to Kennedy because he had Ole Miss looking so good with their non-conference schedule last year. After they fell apart in the SEC he then turned his attention to Pelfrey. I remember him saying before we played Arkansas that we could not use the young excuse because of the way they were playing. Well we destroyed them and they have not been the same since and we have not heard much about Pelfrey from coach. Kentucky wins a couple games and he is all over Gillespies jock, now that he has lost three in a row it will be interesting to see who he goes for next. I did not even mention his love affair with the great Stan Heath! Where is he now? Serious Question?

With that being said. As much as I hate to admit it. When he was banned, it did get a little boring on this board. I look forward to getting pissed off at his remarks. And now that he is supposedly on the football bandwagon it freaks me out to know that I agree with alot of his thoughts on the football team.
