I like Eli. He's clean cut and not covered up with tats like many, perhaps most, of the players are. Seems like a good family man too. And seems to be pretty intelligent (I know that's oxymoronic with selecting Ole Miss as a college, but things like that happen sometimes).

I can name countless quarterbacks that don't have tattoos, seem like family men, and are pretty intelligent. I can only name 2 current NFL QB's who are tatted up actually (Kaepernick and Pryor). If that's your reason for liking Eli, stop.

At this point no one automatically associates him with Ole Miss anymore. He's been in New York long enough. The reason I don't want him to have success is he's one of those fringe Hall of Fame guys that gets Brees' spotlight. I heard an argument today on the NFL Network that said the only difference in perception between Romo and Brees is Brees had a SB win. Take away Brees' or give Romo a SB and their the same status. Horse ****. Brees is the greatest passing QB in the league and one of the best ever, he just plays for a team no one gives a **** about away from the Gulf of Mexico. Eli might not have said anything negative about MSU or whatever and he might be a super cool guy, but I don't like him for the above reason and every prick Ole Miss fan I know acts like they're BFF and that he's the only person who's won Super Bowl MVP.

I say this every year... Most overrated NFL QB of all time.

So many people have him as an absolute lock hall of famer, but he's really not that great. He was almost run out of New York before his first Superbowl run (which was all about their killer defense). And he only made it to his second by blind luck. He's an interception machine who crumbles without an all-star group around him.

He's not an elite NFL QB. He's Tony Romo after a stroke.
