Also, when they called us for roughing the kicker, it looked to me that our guy was blocked into him. On the replay, it looked as if our guy went in back first when they hit.
A few possessions earlier UH got bailed out with a 15 yarder when an MSU player barely touched their punter. I was in a bar with limited view but it appeared our guy was spun around and backed into him. It looked like he didn't really know where he was in relation to the UH punter. Later on, the UH player had his eyes on Hutchins the entire play, yet still hit him.

when the punter/kicker gets up after the play and starts clapping as he's running down the field like the UH punter did, the flag should immediately be picked up. When I saw that little douchebag clapping his hands, I was saying that Mullen should have called an all out punt block the next chance he got and let one of our safeties completely knock his *** out.

to the BS they called on Hanrahan. Is Hanarahan so ripped that he can rough the punter with his backside? If they're going to call that one, we deserved to get 15 for the UH player, who had a clear shot and arrived late.

I was pissed about that call too- I mean, they were almost identical. Either both are 15 or they're both 5. I was shocked that they called us for roughing.

the thing I liked best about Dan's reaction was that he has that "fire in his belly" that so many others don't...don't like to use the example, but "visor" Spurrier used to be much more animated...helps to inspire the players, and hope he keeps it up...wish we had a printable copy of the picture tho...it is classic...
Our guy backs into the punter when he is blocked into him. Seemed like an obvious no call to me, 5 yarder at worst. Then, their guy hits our punter's foot as he lays out to block the kick, and it is a 5 yarder. I'd have no beef with that being a 5 yard running into the kicker had our guy not been flagged at all earlier. It was the lack of consistency that had me steamed. Plus, I haven't forgotten (and neither has our coach) that BS calls by the officials were the number one factor in Houston's victory over State last year. Those were CUSA officials last year that screwed us over in Starkville. I expected more out of SEC refs last night. There were several obvious holds by UH that the refs ignored last night. It irks me that we get jobbed by SEC officials on our home turf and on the road against out of conference foes. Maybe they are just frackin' incompetent, but I think it is more than that.
