Ole Miss fan here, my work takes me to Tallahassee on business a few nights per month so here is some options and the scoop.
On Raymond Deil, you can stay at the Residence Inn or Courtyard. I prefer Residence Inn, cheaper and includes breakfast. You have several restaurant options, Outback is next door and 20+ in the 2 mile radius.
Staybridge is off of US 90 on the far east side of town. Cheaper than the other 2 options and includes free happy hour of beer and wine and free breakfast but not any restaurants nearby.
By FSU, you have the Duval and the Loft. Neither are walking distance but only a mile or 2 from FSU, probably the nicest options. You also have Courtyard off of Appalachee Parkway, about 2.5 miles from FSU.

Off of I-10 would be:
Anthony's Wood Fire Grill - seafood and cajun dishes like gumbo and blackened fish done well.
American and Italian. After 26 years in Betton Place,
restaurateur Dick Anthony has returned in a new location with a new menu
featuring grilled chicken, steak, fish and hamburgers. Italian
favorites that made the original Anthony’s so popular have returned on
the “First Loves Second Chances” portion of the dinner menu. 1355 Market
St. Lunch 11 a.m.–2 p.m. Mon.–Fri., Dinner 5–9 p.m. Mon.–Sun., Brunch
11 a.m.–2 p.m. Sun. (850) 224-1447, anthonyswoodfiregrilltallahassee.com
Moziak - Nice inside and out and a block from Anthony's and 2 Blocks from Ole Town Cafe
New American. Daily specials utilize fresh seafood and local
ingredients and an extensive wine selection will suit every taste. Dine
inside or out or enjoy Mozaik elsewhere with ever-changing, pre-prepared
takeout selections. 1410 Market St., #D1. Lunch 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Mon-Sat., Dinner and bar 5-9:30 p.m., Takeout 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Mon.-Sat.
(850) 893-7668.
Ole Time Cafe - nothing special but consistent "home style" cooking.
American. Southern hospitality is embedded throughout this
family-owned restaurant. Mom’s meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green
beans makes you feel like you’re home, not to mention their world famous
prime rib, which slowly roasts all day. Timberlane Road. 11 a.m.–9 p.m.
Mon. Thurs., 11 a.m.–10 p.m. Fri. and 4-10 p.m. Sat. (850) 893-5741
Near FSU, good outside place with pretty good food is Andrew's. I like sitting outside.
American. Andrew’s has been a Downtown landmark for 35 years.
An energetic, casual, see-and-be-seen spot. House favorites include
Capital Dip, Hamburgers, Chicken Quesadillas, Mediterranean Pasta, Cedar
Plank Salmon and Chicken Fiorentina. Downtown delivery. 228 S. Adams
St. 11:30 a.m.-10p.m. Mon.-Thu., 11:30 a.m.-11p.m. Fri.-Sat.; Brunch
11 a.m.-2 p.m. Sun. (850) 222-3444/Fax (850) 222-2433.
Good Steak House is Marie Livingston's on Appalachia Parkway.
Steak. This restaurant specializes in steak — named
Tallahassee’s “Best Steakhouse” in 2010 — but also serves seafood such
as shrimp and fish. Marie Livingston’s has moved to a new location with a
sophisticated decor, but the quality and value remain the same. 2705
Apalachee Parkway. Lunch 11 a.m.–2 p.m. Mon.–Fri. Dinner 5 p.m. daily
(850) 562-2525.
There are also the Chains such as Shula's, BoneFish, Carrabba's, Sonny's, Harry's, Panera, TGIF, Ale House, Logans, and others.
Several more places to eat I have not tried out yet so don't be scared to try one.
Good luck!
