Great to see Routt pitch well

It's one thing for him to just come back- but for him to do well is an entirely different thing.

Hopefully, he feels well tommorrow, and now we can build his arm up. We don't have a midweek game next week, so I expect Routt to throw in the bullpen- maybe a simulated game of 60-70 pitches or so, and then get another start against Alabama A&M. If I was the coach, I would use him against USM and maybe Ole Miss to see how he does against good competition.

If he does really well and is up to 100 pitches by the USM game and he looks good, I would try to slip him into the rotation for the Arkansas series. I think Sunday of the Florida series coud be a possibility as well.

I know he's only pitched like 3 2/3 all year, but he continues to put people on base and allow them to score. Is his breaking ball just not what it once was?

His fastball isn't what it once was.

With him, I think it's simply a case of him getting 100% healthy, and he's just not quite there yet. I expect him to be 100% next year, and if he's not, he probably never will be.

We'll probably be able to count on him his last season.

It was CC Watson that has a great curveball. But he also had a great fastball to go with it.

CC sometimes has trouble locating his curve- I think some of that is because he hasn't really had a chance to progress because he has been hurt.
