I dislike Seth, but he's been very complimentary of Zion (and Jones and the Duke D). He likes to take swipes at RJ for sure.

The crazies must have really got on his sad dumpy *** when he coached.

He’s bitter that most failed coaches spend a year at espn and then get another gig. He’s now a lifer.

Every one of his takes is stray pto beat Duke like he knows. What a tool

Apparently he said some kid from Murray state is more exciting than Zion. WTF?

Ja Morant is a monster. And only a freshman at that. He’s leading an otherwise unimpressive Murray State to 5-0 conference start and they’ve been close to beating Bama and Auburn.

That said he’s no Zion and it was just yet another headline grabbing Hot Take. The sports media world will be able to live off of Hot Takes with this Duke squad. Here’s a few examples that haven’t happened yet, but absolutely will:

NBA GM says “I wouldn’t take Zion first.”

[Pick a writer] predicts Duke won’t ‘make it out of the first weekend’ of the tournament.

‘Zion to New York’ is bigger than ‘Ewing drafted by Knicks’.

It’s easy money in a pay per click era.

Probably. But Ja Morant is going to be a top five pick in the upcoming draft. He’s legit.
Not taking anything from him, but back to the point, he is not close to being more exciting than Zion, which is what was mentioned. If anybody other than Seth thinks that, I would go out on a limb and say either they have no clue or just a pure hater. Let see where Zion goes in the same upcoming draft.

It’s one part Hot Take City and another part free press for a kid who deserves it. Ja deserves it.

I think everyone knows Zion at this point. There are old ladies who still think Dr. James Naismith has the purest set shot known to man that know Zion. There are posters in this thread who don’t know Ja.

Zion gets plenty of pub and press. Greenberg continues to look foolish. And Ja gets some noteriety. Everybody wins here.

Greenberg doesn’t bother me. I think he tries to be fair. Bilas used to irritate me, but I honestly think they try to call it as fair as possible. Duke gets so much publicity, none of them want to look like they’re slobbering over our team.

For as exciting as Zion is, if you haven’t seen Ja you really should. I would consider taking him number 1 overall because he might be a more complete player at this stage. Zion has more upside though.

I get that the kid is good and will be a lottery pick but he’s no Zion. Just Greenberg being Greenberg. Muting the TV has become my friend when he’s on.

Why isn't Morant at a bigger program?
Morant and Zion played on the same AAU team ... Morant was skinny and hadnt grown into his body. Now in his second year he has put on some muscles and his ezplosivnes has sky rocketed.

Edit
So you add the lack of size and being in the shadow of a mosterous prospect like Zion. He simply got overlooked.

Why do we waste our time with this idiot. He couldn't coach the game and he certainly doesn't have the knowledge to talk about the game. guru gary - 7 knows more than he's does and I'm serious about that. OFC

He spent the whole show trolling Duke. You could see it on his smug, Shrek face every time he said something. Oh well. More fuel to stoke the fan base’s fire. Cameron better be rocking tonight.
If Zion was at Murray State think of what his stats would be?

Things that make you go, "Hmmmmmm".

The dude had 25 pts, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists against Auburn this year. He also had 38 pts, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists against Alabama. He's a stud....

Ja Morant is a sophomore, not a frosh. And yes, he's very good. But those mid major leagues have nothing resembling a legit big man. They all run out Cs and PFs that look and move like Luke Maye, only without the three point stroke. I think he'll be good in the NBA, but the world needs to take a breath wrt this kid. His ascendency on draft boards is as much about Nas Little and Cam Reddish being relatively disappointing than anything else. The drop off after Zion and RJ is sharp and steep. Ja Morant might well be number 3, but again, that is more about the field than Ja Morant.
