Congrats on joining the Beavers in Omaha. I look foward to watching some great baseball. It seems with the national seeds gone this is the "easier" side but I don't agree with that. Pitching is loaded on this side. The teams rank 2,5,6 and 11 in team era. I think you guys and Louisville have 2 of the best bullpens in the country.

My guess is that OSU starts Boyd or Wetzler against you guys since they are lefties and from what I have read you have more trouble with lefties. OSU also seems to struggle more with lefties as well so if one of your guys is a lefty he might get the start Saturday.

OSU's bullpen hasnt been as good lately as they have been for most of the season. The reason Boyd was brought in to close out the game is because KSU was hitting the righties out of the pen and the lefty closer engelbrekt was out with back spasms. Hopefully he is back for Omaha because he has been lights out for us the last couple weeks while the regular closer, Shultz, has been in a little bit of a slump. Bryant from the pen is great when he is on but he just isn't consistent enough to know what you will get from him. Jace fry has some really good stuff but is just getting back in after tommy John surgery so he is a little rusty.

Looks like OSU will have to get their runs early with your pen and hope the starters last. In the last 28 games OSU has gotten 27 starts of 6 or more innings with 3 or less earned runs given up.

KSU absolutely grinder out at bats and got the OSU starters pitch counts higher than normal. That teams has an insane hitting line up. 8 of the 9 starters are I've .300 the 9th guy is at .297. Fortunately for OSU their pitching wasnt as strong.

We are looking forward to seeing you in Omaha. Thanks for the classy post. I hate Vandy and South Carolina not making it but that only makes both of our jobs easier. Here's to some good baseball. I hate we pulled the first time slot but that's the way it happened.

Does Casey usually ride y'alls starters like that? In watched the whole series with KSU and every starter for the Beavers went over 125 pitches.

We really haven't had much issue with LHP the second half of the season or so. It's because our top two hitters are good enough to go the other way, then it's nothing but RH or switch guys until about 7 hole.

Usually they are pulled around 100 pitches

That's not too bad. I can't blame him for extending them a little with your main reliever injured. But I didn't like the move of bringing the Ace back in for Game 3 on a days rest, but to each his own. I think Aaron Fitt and others are blowing that out of proportion. It wasn't nearly as bad as what Fox did for Carolina against FAU in my opinion.

Which of those guys do you expect to start against us, and what pitches does he throw? Is he a power guy or a crafty one?

Welcome and Thanks for coming by.

I'm not shedding a tear over Vandy not being in Omaha. I didn't want them anywhere near our bracket.

How do you win back to back National Championships and still play in a 4,000 seat **** box that you can't fill for a Super Regional? We get more fans during a Tuesday game vs Mississippi Valley than you get in a Super Regional. Seriously. We do.

What exactly are your outfielders standing on? It's not grass.

How much do you hate Oregon and does that hatred include a boycott of Nike by you and all OSU fans?

We have a secret weapon that were bringing to Omaha. The ugliest uniforms in the history of baseball. You're 17ed. (17 = f.u.c.k. on this site, read the rules on the front page).

With the name Beavers your school needs some Diamond Beavers. We have Diamond Dawgs and they are probably the hottest tail in college ball but I think your school has potential here.

Who are some of your MLB alum? We have Will Clark, Rafael Palmeiro, Bobby Thigpen, Jeff Brantley, Paul Maholm, Mitch Moreland, Buck Shoewalter and Jonathan Papelbon (more than this but those are the biggest).

We have Kenny Mother17ing Powers and he destroys Beavers on the reg. You're 17ed.

Our CF and SS will be starting for the Padres and Pirates in a month. You're 17ed.

What's the most popular site for you Beavers to chat on? (we already know about Pornhub)

Being serious, thanks for posting... You'll need to have a thick skin over here - but there are many knowledgeable baseball guys here (I'm definitely not one of them).

What is the most popular OSU board for convo?

The thing about our pitching plans,

we cant give you a good heads up, Our normal Friday and Sunday starters never saw the field this week.

Any guess would be good at this stage.

Welcome!

Honestly I have no idea who gets the start. I think it will be Moore or Wetzler since boyd pulled double duty and could use the extra rest. If I were choosing I would choose Wetzler he is a lefty with the fastball between 92-95 and good off speed pitches. That is where osu's starters excel. They all have 4 pitches they can throw well. Wetzler was injured to start the season so he hasnt gone through as much of a grind through the season as the other two. I didn't see the numbers from the SR but in the regional he was still hitting 94 at around 100 pitches.

Pure-orange.net has the most conversation but you likely won't be cleared to post before the series is over. The scout board has some conversation there where you can join in.

Kenny mother17ing powers?!?! Just can't compete with that. OSU doesn't have a lot of big name alums. Jacoby ellsbury, Darwin Barney, and Mike Stutes are the only ones currently on MLB rosters that I know of

Just remember three things.

1. Don't take jack off of anyone. If you are right and you know you are right even if we don't think you are right don't give in on your point out of politeness. It's a sign of weakness. Now if someone wants to pay you some jack that is different.

2. Don't get angry. It's a sign of weakness. It's all about the fun.

3. Don't point out spelling or grammer in you argument. It's a sign of weakness.

Even the President of the United States had a telephone line directly to the Soviet Premier during the height of the Cold War and if they had gave RR a good reason he would have kicked their teeth in.

I hate the ducks but don't have a problem with Nike like most beaver fans. Especially since Nike is the reason Casey is still coaching the beavers. Nike gave money to up his salary so he wouldn't bolt for Notre dame.

You know

the popular notion was that we struggled with lefties, and this was mostly true a month ago. However, we've done pretty well against them, recently, it seems.

Cody, Beavers are known for having thick hides. Be prepared.

This is not a flame board, but visitors from othe programs, especially ones we are about to face in an athletic competiton, are subject to massive abuse.

We aren't mean, if you showed up at our tailgates, we'd smother you with delcious food.
But this is the internet, a sports board.
Expect to be pilloried.

Interesting thought but the only problem with that is.....

I was hoping USC would advance so we could contemplate a Cocks vs Beavers match-up.

Both teams are would be on opposite sides of the bracket. For that match up to occur State would have to be eliminated so I would not even want to contemplate that match up.

You know that family that offered to "host" you in their camper for Omaha? The ones you met on our Scout site with the Ralph Nader profile pic........ Don't do it. For some reason they have a fetish for Oregon folks.
