Evidently Bond notified Byrne right after this incidentsupposedlyoccurred, thats December, almost a year ago. I would assume Byrne notifed the SEC right after he was made aware, again, almost a year ago. Byrne has in no way been associated with MSU for 7 months. Why is this just now coming to light? Did the SEC sit on since January? Is it also ironic to wonder why this is coming out when Auburn only has 3 games left, including Georgia and Alabama. Even if nothing sticks, this will surley hurt Newton's chances for the Heisman, and if he won would follow Mark Ingram. What is Slive up to, and what did he know when?<div>

</div><div>I will also say AU's recruiting tactics were in question by many people as soon as Chizik arrived. From Pat Dye's involvement, to the Tiger Prowl, to getting the 3rd ranked recruiting class in the country off a 3-5 SEC record. It was as if they flipped out with Bama's first undefeated season in 2008, and sold their soul to the devil. Many folks, not just MSU fans, said it was a matter of when, not if, the hammer would come down on them. </div></div>

something. Cecil has turned over bank statements to the NCAA a month ago, so this has been going on behind the scenes for a while. That was on the ESPN ticker, so I'm leaning toward somebody got some money.
