with him at the mic, perhaps it just isn't adjusted to his voice.

I would rather not hear than listen to Flick, quite frankly. But, when I couldn't hear the lightening announcement, that was pretty irritating, although it was evident what was going on.

If the new guy was more lively or something, I get the change, but he isn't. He just drones on - and misspeaks plenty.

i was disappointed in the p.a. announcer from pre game to post game...there is some much to say and not much was said at all...good voice actually, but afraid to key the mic and jump in...first 5 minutes of the game were the worst...then it was hit or miss....i never felt he was in the game or enjoying it...

Seems they've always been on the West side, although they used to be on the other end or in the West upper deck. Why do you want them moved to the East side?

from the allotment of tickets we give them.

i wish we could get flick back. it's just not the same, and basketball season will make the new guy seem even worse.

if there was one thing i would remove from my gameday experience, it would be the band doing the DPR. completely embarassing and ridiculous.

but he does a good job at being impartial on the radio. i think he would be a great fit to replace jack cristil in a few years.

Hank Flick brought something special to Mississippi State basketball that nobody else will be able to do. It seems that most programs have the stereotypical deep-voiced announcer that gets through the game, but Flick completely changed the atmosphere in the Hump.

To me, a good football PA guy is one that goes unnoticed. I've never been to an away game where I was like, "Damn, I wish we had their PA guy." It's usually "thank God we don't do that" after I hear "First down Ole Miss" and "That's another Carolina first down."

Holmes isn't great, but he isn't terrible either. He summarizes the play, yardage, down, etc, and he does promotions. What else does he need to do? I thought I might miss Flick at first, but I do not miss him in the least bit. I don't see how State fans managed to listen to his voice through 5 Presidential administrations.

It's difficult enough to listen to Kellum call a football game without that attention ***** PA guy they have saying first down OLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLE MISS, with 45,000 of their sheep bleating along with him.

Jack, are we getting Cam Newton? Your opinion is the only one that matters.

i honestly don't remember.

either way, i agree about football not needing as much personality on the PA. maybe the new guy will step up his game for basketball, but it just won't be the same.

Holmes is turrible, just turrible. Hank Flick with emphysema and and oxygen tank would be better than this clown.

when, sadly, the time comes we will already have a popular recognizable voice to replace the legend that is Jack?
