Just read an article where it was saying he may have the hottest seat in the nfl. Wasn't he hired just last year? Just seems a little soon. The article said that his players don't like his brash coaching style and then the whole Josh Freeman deal. Maybe he's available if Mullen leaves after this year, I doubt we would go after another yankee with a brash coaching style again though.

68-67 (28-48 in 11 years at Rutgers in a joke conference. Took him 5 years there to go bowling the first time. Best bowl was a win in the Texas Bowl in the one "breakthrough" year...

And people are unhappy with Dan Mullen at 31-24(13-20) in the best division of the best conference in history?

Agreed and I hear that Schiano is a real *** hole. *** hole to everyone even NFL scouts. If we think Dan isn't "good ole boy" enough with recruits, Schiano would make Dan look like Spurier. I bet he's a Scientologist too**. I bet a team like CAL goes after him.

Greg Schiano is not a great coach. If you think Mullen is a bastard northerner... wait until you meet Schiano.

In what way is he an upgrade from Mullen? That is my point. He isn't.

Meanwhile, goat is going full retard about an average coach in a conference that every truly good coach has dominated over the years. It had disaster written all over it when Tampa Bay took a chance on him -- now they are enjoying their disaster.

Guy has ONE really good team 7 years ago and became the hottest name in college football that offseason. He hasn't done jack crap since and certainly did nothing before.

I didn't say anything about Mullen. Ha, "going full retard". That's cute.

Schiano's record speaks for itself. He took a team that was routinely a homecoming game and did this (regular season, f*ck random bowls when making comparisons):

2-9
1-11
5-7
4-7
7-4
10-2 (Big East was VERY good this year, Petrino-led Louisville and Rich Rod-led West Virginia)
7-5
7-5
8-4
4-8
8-4

On top of that, he left Kyle Flood a team that won the Big East Co-Championship last year. So what if it was the Big East? Rutgers was a joke program, and he built them to a point where the BIG F*CKING TEN invited them to join the conference. Oh wait, you say that was about TV money? Well that makes my point even more that Rutgers is a hot item in New York. Put on the map by Schiano.

11 years of damn good coaching. You were saying?

The short memories many of you possess are simply mind-boggling.

I haven't but I've talked to several people who have been around him multiple times, one being law enforcement that's at a lot of practices and games. He despises Mullen and said there's no way he'd ever let his child play for anyone to treats his players the way he does. There's a couple other things I've heard about Dan and Megan that have turned me off of them that I won't repeat on aessage board.

And who do they play? Who did Schiano beat there that should impress me? He made Rutgers better... But the adjective great is not what I would describe him with.

good? Sure. But not great.

What Petrino did at Louisville and what RichRod did at WVU in that same time period was great.

Exactly.

In 11 years, these were his "signature wins". I only see 1 victory here that any MSU fan would call "signature"...in eleven years...
