maybe they weren't the only team doing it and probably not, but the cover up and lies was what brought the hammer down. The "beloved" Saints may become "America's Most Hated."...(of course not in the eyes of their black and gold colored glasses fans.)

I think this pretty much clinches it. What's really damning is that Payton, Benson and the GM were all in the room. Are there still people bitching that Payton got to harsh a penalty?

Seriously, what do you people think is said in locker rooms? This doesn't sound much different than what I heard in HS and JUCO. most of you guys watch MMA, right? What's the damn difference? The only thing they did any differently from the other teams (and even that is not a sure thing) is let money change hands. God-ell made his point, hypocritical as it may be, so let's move on.

Pamphilon emphasized that Saints coach Sean Payton and general manager Mickey Loomis were not in the room when Williams delivered his speech. (The filmmaker explained the jumps in the audio posted on his website thusly: “I was shooting off and on with two different cameras. I gave up every single word I shot him saying – in order – and if Gregg Williams wants an independent audio specialist to examine my files, I am cool with that.”)

I expect Payton's suspension will be reduced to 8 games

I see absolutely nothing wrong with that. When I saw that the "audio" came out I thought it was going to be specific payments for injuries, that was just a sweet pep talk! WTF, why are people up in arms about that?

That was just a 17ing pep talk!

But you are right. Payton, Loomis and Benson were not in the room.

No way in hell the suspension is going to be reduced though.

I know what you're saying but why does that matter? Anybody who does something wrong will deny it to the end. Why is that suddenly news? Did every baseball player on the juice step forward when MLB started investigating? Oh yeah, OJ came forward right after the bodies were found, right? It was dumb to continue once they were warned but it's not some unheard of act. Their biggest fault was the timing. They were doing what lots of other teams have done at the wrong time. God-ell needed an example bc of the concussion issue and they gave him one on a silver platter. No more, no less.

But after the league was already investigating it, and after the league had already told them to stop it, they just blatently kept right on and ignored the league. The NFLshould add a stupidity bonus suspension to every suspension they've handed out.
