Nottaway is 7and 3 and dan river also has a winning record which both lost to Gretna...The last time i went to grade school that was not 1 and 2 but 2 and 2.Maybe you should consider getting a second grader to do your math in the future......
Whatever happened to positivity? Too many people want to just tear people down instead of offering support. People on here were complaining about Gretna losing the last few years and blamed coaching and not the staff but just the head. Now Gretna is winning and going to the playoffs, but people need to break it down even further in order to complain. They call themselves supporters of the program, but cast stones, which imo isn't supporting. What's next, Gretna goes deep in the playoffs and people will say he can't handle the playoff pressure or win the big game?

Defensive coordinator Mickey Crouch, former state champ head coach at Amherst, knows his stuff and gets great effort and execution from his players. They will be tough on that side of football while he has a whistle.
Floyd county web site says game will be played at floyd ,virginia on friday night at 7 p.m.

I myself have really questioned offensive play call and coaching. The addition of Crouch has brought terrific defense. I know they havent played the strongest of schedules but these kids have gutted out some good wins and when you can play defense like these kids have you have a chance in any ball game. They have won four ball games in fourth quarter and lost one on failed two point conversion in which defense was on field 75% of each game and held strong until we finally got late scores. Regardless of strength of schedule or what you think about coaching these boys went from 3-7 last year to 8-2 and one power point from hosting this game. They have played some gritty football and I am proud of them.

Any word on players suspended for the dan river game? What i heard was they were kicked off team which i hope is not true........
They were not kicked off team and were on sidelines cheering team on during game. No word as to if they playing Friday, up to coach.
They are going to need more then 1 first down in 3 quarters to win just saying Need more Offense production. Crouch helping coach this year has saved that program this year without him maybe a 5-5 team . Good Luck to the Hawks !!
Hicks needs more touches, catching passes and on some "trick" plays. He's a threat to score EVERY time he has ball.
I second that opinion that Hicks needs more touches .Once he catches the ball and gets up to full speed one person rarely can bring him down He is a big kid and can run over people.
