I would say, it depends on who plays quarterback for Grimsley.
7:00 PM Kickoff at Jamieson Stadium. Look for a big crowd with good weather and a long rivalry. Who can ever forget the two 21-20 for EF at Grimsley on the way to their last state title. Eagles have a solid ground game with NC State commit Richburg at WR. Grimsley is deep and talented, even with two D-1 commits sitting out against WF. Competitive first half with Whirlies pulling away late.

West Forsyth proved East Forsyth can hang and possibly beat Grimsley. West led Grimsley in the 4th quarter only to lose just like 2024 with a leads over East Forsyth & Weddington in the 4thQ. They have closing issues; the coaches need to figure this out. Grimsley's Backup Freshman QB(Threw about 300yds) was fantastic and hitting 4 long passes while West had good defensive coverage.

I'm guessing that Grimsley will still pull off a win - maybe by at least 10 points. Lowe looked really good in his freshman QB debut. Cooper could take the helm but he seems to be a better WR thsan QB.
Simmons has Grimsley as a 24pt favorite.... I don't think his computer system can factor in an injury to the #1 player in the country.... East Forsyth Defense is coming for QB Brody Lowe.

I was so wrong on this game…lol… Grimsley is very impressive without their star QB…. East showing the first signs of being down…. It’s been years but they aren’t quite what they use to be. West Forsyth handled Grimsley much better.

West Forsyth is clearly a better team than East versus Grimsley, but they matchup well against each other. Both are good against and with the run game. Both are vulnerable to the pass. Reagan may be the best of the CPC this year.
The way Reagan is playing, a matchup with West Forsyth would be very intriguing to see. I do see East Forsyth as being down. Would not surprise me the way Mooresville has being playing that they could beat East Forsyth in a couple weeks. Time will tell.
With their regular use of the transfer portal and the teams they usually play, this shouldn't be surprising. Too bad they don't play Chad Grier's Providence Day club. The way Providence Day uses transfers and recruits, it would be a good game. Transfers have just about ruined competive balance in high school football, at least in the higher classifications. For me personally, and keep in mind, this is my personal opinion, with their transfers they should win their games. Grimsley shouldn't lose any games this year either. For me, it's a shrug your shoulders "so what" moment.
