Now that we know that the starting QB will return, how much will that change their performance. What teams would have a chance at beat them. Weddington comes to mind. Could Mooresville make a threat at beating them. Looks like 1st 3rds rds for Grimsley will be a cake walk.

The return of Brandon makes Grimsley even more multi-dimensional. Better RPO potential and no one throws a fade like FB11. At 6’4” Faizon sees the field better and is Smoother in his progressions. 6’6” TE Howerton(Rutgers commit) will be more problematic. But what a golden experience for young freshman Lowe: tested and untarnished! Mooresville and Weddington will be a test but Grimsley’s even more explosive offense and opportunistic defense are too much for anyone in 7A. Honda will be very irritated😛

I'm not trying to offend, but with what we've seen from Grimsley the last several years and the way they use the transfer portal, does this question actually need to be asked? The only team that MIGHT challenge them is Weddington. Mooresville won't. So unless something really strange happens, you can get the trophy ready for Grimsley. No one works the transfer portal like they do. Grimsley is SEC or Big10. Weddington is Big 12 and Mooresville is ACC.

I don't know...Chad Greer has a pretty good transfer portal/recruiting thing going on at Providence Day. Yes, I know they're a private.

I will say this, that Grimsley n Weddington would be a must see game.
As long as Grimsley stays at home, as they've done these past years, they'll be fine. Of course, they really don't play too many teams to challenge them, so they can guarantee themselves home playoff games. They have a pretty smart plan....use the transfer portal extensively, play rope-a-dope during the regular season, enjoy their home games during the playoffs. The problem though you have what a I called an SEC Grimsley team playing a lower tier ACC and Group of 5 schedule.

Man it’s the number 1 QB in the country…lol what the heck is he going to be mad about. I don’t care how good he was when Faizon is ready you go back to the bench. He has 3 years left

Why don’t you have this same sentiment for Hough and Weddington? Just as big of culprits of the “transfer portal”. Oh that’s right because they can’t beat Grimsley. I guess West Charlotte is a nobody? Beat them, just like every other team from Charlotte for the last 5 years. Varina, 2nd best team in VA. Beat them too. Give it up man, you sound like a jealous ex girlfriend. 60 straight regular season wins, 28 straight wins 2 states titles in 4 years, 3 title game appearances. And guess what? They just beat everyone with a Freshman QB doesn’t look like the train is slowing down

Ok? U stay wit the hot hand , He maybe the #1 QB in the country but he hasnt play almost half the year. Just my opiniom u dont have to agree idc if u do or dont but If your that KID, u work your *** off and you play extremely well.

That like example

Im a 9ers fan and I love BROCK but if Mac Jone can stay playing well n leading us to wins and etc then U stay with the hot hand until U think he not doing well enough or u want make that change but again NFL is different then HS i get that but Football stays the same at all LEVELS Period!

I didn't say West Charlotte is a nobody. But guess what? Away from home they squeezed out a 1 point win against West Charlotte. They were flagged for only one penalty in the opening game of the season? Really? I agree. I'm not forgetting Weddington or Hough. All three of them do it. Grimsley has perfected it the most. Don't mention Varina. I was born and raised in Richmond, Va and am very familiar with Varina and Highland Springs. Just so you know, Virginia's football is not quite up at the same level as North Carolina. Varina being the second best team in the state of Virginia is debatable. "60 straight regular season wins, 28 straight wins 2 states titles in 4 years, 3 title game appearances". A team who was a perennial bottom feeder in Greensboro and North Carolina, suddenly having that success? When they beat up on the little sisters of the poor during the regular season and most of the playoffs, they should have that record with all their high quality transfers. Thank you. You proved my point. Now, if they upgraded their schedule and played some high quality teams from Georgia, instead of Virginia, then I'd give them kudos. Perhaps if they ventured out and played a couple of Ohio powers. But if they did that, they wouldn't keep their winning streaks going and get home games for the the whole playoffs, like they do now. I don't know if it was a home and home series, but Grimsley couldn't even play Varina away from Jamison Stadium. They met Weddington and Hough in the playoffs...at home. They're always at home and can't be brave and venture out. But, you brought up the Charlotte stuff, here ya go.....I have mentioned this: Chad Greer has a pretty good recruiting thing going on at Providence Day. Grimsley should try their hand at them, but of course Providence Day is a private. That would really be brave for Grimsley.
