I can't get over how many times they call Bonner the Red Rocket, that is one of those nicknames you really needed to find a way to get rid of

I really hope my partner comes through with what he told me and one of our clients. 8 courtside tickets behind the scorers table. I am pumped right now.

I agree with the red rocket nickname. I would hunt down everyone that called me that Jay and Silent Bob style.

The officials were trying to control that game way too much but they still overcome. The Spurs whine more than any team I have ever seen about foul calls.

If you ask Tim Duncan, he's never committed a foul. Oh, and Ginobili actually hurt himself while trying to flop and draw a foul earlier this year (against the Griz, ironically enough).

The Spurs get all the calls. It is comical the way Parker just drives the ball, flops to the floor, and gets a foul call. That happened almost every possession in the third. Lots of touch fouls on that end, but they were letting them play a lot more on the Griz end.

I think the Griz are the tougher, more physical team here, but they'll be hard-pressed to advance if the Spurs can continue to draw fouls, get guys in foul trouble, and go to the free throw line fifty freaking times a game.

It got to where is was comical how many were called.

And I agree with you. The Grizzlies style of play will not bode well against a team who gets foul calls.

On another note, I was delighted to watch the game on SportsSouth instead of TNT. The announcers were having sex with the Spurs on TNT.

they have to be the biggest collection of douchebags that the NBA has ever seen. When it comes down to it, Richard Jefferson and I guess George Hill are probably the only two players on their team that I don't completely despise.

Tim Duncan sets the tone with his incessant whining and "never committed a foul in my life" attitude. Then you've got one of the biggest floppers in the game in Manu. I would kill to for someone to finally have enough of his crap and just crack him in the jaw for once. Then there's Parker who travels more than any player in the league, yet never gets called for it. I swear that guy will spin three times in the lane before letting go of the ball, but the refs think that he was somehow able to do that by only taking two steps. Furthermore, it pisses me off to no end how he will just barrel through the lane, being completely out of control, but the refs reward him time and time again by sending him to the free throw line. After all that, you then throw in Matt "red rocket" Bonner, Dajaun "fatass" Blair, and Antonio "should have been retired 4 years ago" McDyess and I don't know how people watch this team. Are the good? Absolutely. But do they look like complete bitches while doing it? Yes.

Oh, and speaking of TNT, I really wish that I had known that the game was on Sportsouth. The Spurs shot 47 17ing free throws and were in the bonus in three separate quarters with 4+ minutes to go, yet TNT has the gall to put together a video package during one of the timeouts of a couple cheap fouls that were called on Duncan.

All that said, Memphis got the worst case scenario yesterday in terms of how officials are going to call a game, but they still found a way to win. That's great news.

I can't stand Manu, and it makes me really happy to know that he got hurt while flopping against Memphis a few weeks ago.

I know I have a history of enjoying injuries, so don't give me crap about that, but Manu deserved to get hurt while flopping. If you flop as much as he does, then he deserved it. It's almost as funny as when one of the Grammaticas tore his ACL while celebrating wildly over a first quarter FG against someone.

...you definitely crossed the line when you wished Elliot's leg was broken.

That said, I think we can all agree that we are hoping for Ginobili and Duncan to collide in practice today and shatter each other's kneecaps. I don't see anything wrong with that.
