The two youngest teams in the league in a 7 game series is going to be fun as hell to watch

In all honesty, I was more worried about playing Memphis than I was with playing the spurs. All in all, I think it's going to be one hell of a game.

I'm excited about this matchup. The pace of the game should be really amazing in this series. Going to be fun to watch.

We were talking about it last night, and I wonder if there's a chance that we'll see a lot more of Battier for this series in order to guard Durant. I love Allen, but I don't think there's any way he can handle Durant's height. I don't know how we're going to defend him and Westbrook, but I also don't know how Ibaka is going to stop ZBo, Gasol, and Arthur. Should be a great series, and we really need to steal one of the first couple games just like we did against the Spurs.

...certainly adds a new piece to that equation that wasn't there in the regular season matchups.

were a big reason for that trade. Having Perkins down low to go along with Ibaka will make our matchups against yalls bigs a little better. Yall still have the advantage, but it just makes us more able to handle one of the main strengths of the Grizzlies.

Memphis' guards can't handle Westbrook and no one in the world can handle Durant. They're going to get their share. The 1-3 positions for Memphis are not going to be able to produce enough points to match it. The difference then has to come from the front-line, and specifically Z-Bo. If Z-Bo can continue his level of play from this last series against Ibaka, Memphis will make this one heck of a series. If Ibaka is more effective at stopping him than the Spurs, it may be a short ride for the Grizz.

He didn't do it in the regular season, and I don't think he will do it here. I do ti Tony Allen will be ok against Durant. I don't think the Grizzlies will win this series, but they did take 3 of 4 against the Thunder in the regular season, so I just don't see them getting run off the court. I look for Allen to turn his list season around and have a big series

I mean, he is as good as it gets defensively, but he is equally maddening at times on the offensive side. Last night he was the single reason that the Spurs were able to take that one point lead with five minutes left, because we had two straight possessions where we turned it over because he was a black hole on the offensive end. He's too loose with the ball and takes bad shots. He also thinks he's Curley Neal with all the through-the-leg dribbles. If he would play defense and only shoot if he has a breakaway layup, I'd feel better about him.

....but everytime I am ready to kill the guy for his boneheaded moves on the offensive end he always pulls off some bad *** play on the defensive end

When you have high energy guys like Allen and Vasquez, you can count on the occasional bad shot. When the adrenaline is pumping, it can create really bad judgment at times. However, the thing that drives me bat crazy is when Tony will get the ball while we're running our half court offense and just dribble around like a globetrotter for about 10 seconds. By the time he finally realizes that he doesn't have any kind of advantage on the defender, he then kicks it out to Conley or Mayo with about 3 seconds left on the clock as if they're supposed to be able to make something happen at that point. He did that 3-4 times last night during critical possessions.
