We can sit here and blame injuries, the new management, or the new coaching staff all we want, but the fact is that this team is really struggling to win ballgames. True... they had won 5 straight up until yesterday, but they had to pull a few of those out of their butts at the last minute against some pretty bad teams, and they just lost an inexcusable one yesterday afternoon at home against a Pelicans team that had lost 8 in a row. The team played laze basketball for the first 30 minutes, and it was the 2nd half before they decided that they actually cared. Unfortunately, it was too late by then.

So here's the question... the team has nearly $40M in contracts that will expire after next season just by combining Zebo's, Mark's, and Tayshawn's deals. They've then got another $7M expiring between Koufos and Davis. Now that we've got Mark back and Conley is playing the best ball of his career, is it time to make a move? I've been trying to let this thing play out and to give the team a chance to adapt to Joerger's style of play, but I just don't feel like this team's heading anywhere other than a possible 7th/8th seed in the playoffs and an early round exit. If you were GM, would you put something on the bargaining table or keep things in tact?

Courtney Lee was the upgrade they needed. Now they just need to cut Tayshaun.

That dude is worthless. It would be nice to see Tony Allen get Prince's mins when he returns. They play different positions, but since TA can defend most 3's. You don't lose anything by moving him over there since you already aren't getting any scoring from the position with TP.

This team has all the parts to start winning big. They just need to stop shooting themselves in the foot in the first quarter of games and I think a lot of that comes from having a starter in Prince that gives you absolutely nothing. I laugh when people call into Memphis radio saying the Grizzlies need to trade Prince for X or Y. Why in the hell would anyone trade for that dude. He is about done as a player. One of the big points in the game last night was when Tyreke Evans ran right around TP for a layup late in the game when the Grizz badly needed a stop.

It's not even the AS Break yet. They need to peak in April, not January. Gasol is back. TA will be back soon. JJ is putting up some nice under-the-radar numbers off the bench lately. TP was eating a sandwich the other day. All is good.

I think we'll be ok. Was at the game yesterday and agree on Prince...he's a liability at this point, got destroyed by his man.

James Johnson and Courtney Lee are upgrades. Pondexter has a chance to come back for playoffs as well. Callathus isn't gonna cut it but its hard to find a good back up PG

I agree

I'm not ready to throw in the towel yet. Once they get healthy, and hopefully make a couple of smaller moves they will be fine. The front office has done a good job in the last year and a half with trades and signings IMO, so I have faith that they will continue to

I agree with this. We need TA back but I also don't want to see minutes taken from Lee, and that sounds like the perfect solution.
