GT fan here, anything specific to look out for from Louisville? Strengths weaknesses etc? Honestly don’t know much about y’all since we didn’t play last year.
Where is Cooley on the RB depth chart? This is how we feel as well. We looked like a completely different team after Key took over as HC for the final 8 games last year so I’m interested in how we look with a full off season under him but with new faces, coaches etc we have no clue. Our secondary should be stout with 3-4 NFL talent guys and our DL should be good. Besides that, we don’t know a lot haha. Should be a good test for both schools to see where they are.
Safe travels to any of y’all making the trip for the game
Mixed reviews on that but if I had to guess he’d be a 2A or 2B type of deal. Just not sure if he will be the first off the bench.Where is Cooley on the RB depth chart?
GT isn’t deprived of talent. GT’s issues has been coaching. That’s why you immediately saw a change once Key took over as HC last year beating Pitt, Duke, and UNC and then taking UGA to the half 10-7. Our back 7 will have 6 or so 4 stars that play significant snaps.Yes, the program is reloading, not rebuilding. When a roster goes from 7 four star recruits to 24 in one year, expectations are going to be positive.
I don't know much about Georgia Tech but Louisville should win going away against the Yellow Jackets. Brohm is going to have his first team ready for his first game at Louisville.
41 to 24 Cards.
Dude did you really just post that???41 to 24 Cards.
The WR and DB positions have multiple 4 star transfers, plus the QB, Jack Plummer. What transfers coming in do y’all expect to start for y’all?
You definitely seem more optimistic than most other Louisville fans I’ve seen. The WR and DB positions have multiple 4 star transfers, plus the QB, Jack Plummer.
Cards are stacked at every position but TE and LB. And we're bringing in a new punter and kicker.
There's a good balance of playing experience with both returning players and the transfers. Coach Brohm has said this roster is more talented than any of his Purdue rosters.
Louisville is a winning football program with only a few losing seasons in the last 30 years. Everything is set for continued success. I'm a bit more optimistic than many fans which is unusual for me. The last time I had this much high expectations in the pre season was in Lamar Jackson's sophomore season.
And we reached #5 in the polls and had Clemson beat on their field.
This time however there's no Lamar but the coaching is much better. Don't see a #5 ranking but this team is going to be very hard to beat.
No fans like to be overconfident. Well, that is unless your name is TheRealVille. You definitely seem more optimistic than most other Louisville fans I’ve seen.
Plummer played for Brohm for 3 seasons at Purdue, so he knows the playbook. A QB coming with a new HC GREATLY speeds up the teams learning curve on offense. No fans like to be overconfident. Well, that is unless your name is TheRealVille.
A more measured response is this:
Louisville fans believe that Jeff Brohm is an upgrade from Satterfield both in terms of offensive play calling and aggressive mindset.
Louisville does lose a supreme athlete in Malik Cunningham, but most fans believe that the previous staff failed to develop Malik and that a less athletic QB will still find success because Coach Brohm has historically improved QBs over time. Additionally, Coach Brohm is more likely to adjust his game plan and force the opponent to react to him rather than sticking to a set strategy that isn’t working.
It would be insanity to believe that this year’s defense will be as disruptive as last year’s Louisville squad, but it is reasonable to believe that the defense won’t be required to score points to prop up the offense as was usually the case last season.
It’s all speculation and, in general, we fans know very little about GT other than the fact that your coach performed well as an interim last season and that your OC hire has been questioned by Tech fans.
All the best to you and yours Techwreck47. Enjoy the season and stay safe!

To his defense the GT player was holding the hell out of our receiver but they aren’t calling anything on Tech. First drive the pass to the corner of the end zone the db didn’t even play the ball just face guard with contact. 2 blown calls conventionallySo far Plummer isn't getting it done. He's underthrown three key passes already. Cards look dominant defensively.
