That's it. One Game!

A former MSU now NFL star got a DUI on his official visit in Starkville but no one knew about it because Jackie was the law.
Mullen needs to have a meeting with the campus and city police so his players can be punished in practice instead of court.

I think an example has to be made, but not a public one. He should get a one game suspension but the worst consequences of his actions should occur in practice and be so bad and hard that it's almost worse than game suspensions. I'm talking make him do the most physically painstaking workouts you can think of for 3 days.

Allen Walker got one last spring, but it was 6 months out from the first game. I don't think he missed any games because the time he was "punished" ran its course.

I think it'll be 2 games, 3 max, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's one and don't think it should be more than 2.

with Meyer. I imagine that Mullen will be pretty consistent with what they did at UF and Utah. By and large, they are REALLY lenient with first time offenders. Meyer kept a Utah RB on the team after TWO DUIs. Meyer has had something like 21 arrests in his 4 years at UF and suspensions from those arrests (for first time offenders) have not been harsh at all. A Nebraska player got caught earlier this year and just got suspended for spring practice. Whoever made not of the timing playing a role, that is a good point. The proximity to the season is what sucks the most.

I am saying 1 game, if any.

He should get 1 and only 1, if that. That's why you always want to open with a patsy. You have 8 months of off-season, so you have a long time with possible transgressions. It's always best to be able to get those suspensions taken care of against a team that you're going to beat anyway.

Or you can be sneaky like I've seen some coaches and suspend players for the 2nd game or some other game down the line if you have a quality opponent early. Those are my favorite.

If you were opening with Auburn, then the suspension should be 0 games.
