I should be staying at home myself. I strongly suggest Stoops wins this game big. A loss will end his tenure, big buyout or not. Empty stadiums speak volumes.

Yep...They will use paid attendance numbers, so it'll be over 50K. Actual will be in the low 40s.
I will be there along with 4 others. I just can't give up on these guys just yet. I still believe CMS is the man that can build this program. We have definitely taken a step backwards this year and fingers can be pointed in alot of directions. Nonetheless, I am a Kentucky Wildcats fan of all sports so I will bundle up, take some antifreeze and cheer my guys on to hopefully a big victory and a bit of momentum heading into the Louisville game.
I put out an over/under poll on this very topic following the Vanderbilt fiasco last week. I stated 42,371 as an over/under mark, and I'll stand by that number as my prediction. BTW, all but two of the thirty or so voters chose the under.
Before I even read your post 35-40K was what I was thinking. Temps in the 30's don't help. Seems to me a game this late in Nov., and of no significance should be an afternoon game, but I suppose TV is the reason for that. I'm not talking about the # of ticket's sold, I'm talking about the number of people who are actually in seats.
The crowd will be small but there will be a decent number of fans go that can't normally get tickets and they just want to go to a UK game or see the renovation. Good for them but a lot of the season ticket holders and die hard fans have given their tickets away. A large number of 'regulars' will be no shows.

And I'm thankful for the cheap tickets I received last night. I wanted to stay dry so I payed $80 for 5 tickets in sec 102 & a parking pass. Personally I think it's a hell of a deal.
I miss the days of college football in the afternoon. Of course there's still plenty on TV on a Saturday afternoon. Wish we had more balance, but like you said it's all about TV these days.
I'll be shocked if there are >40,000 in the stands at it's fullest. Deflated fanbase, terrible weather, 7:30 kick - not exactly the recipe for a good crowd. To be fair, I'm not so sure there would've been much over 50,000 actually present even if things weren't so iffy with the team given the forecast and the 7th consecutive late kick.
Good, bad or ugly, I'll be there with my dad. During the more trying times as a fan, it becomes as much about having a good day out with family as it does the game itself. The way I see it, a person will never look back on life and regret going to too many games with their family (even if the game isn't the most appealing matchup).

Back in the 80s when I attended UK, the home games were always at 1:30PM, except when Keeneland was in session, which moved the October games to 7:30PM. Of course back in those days very few of UK's games were on TV, except on a delayed broadcast basis.
Today is my wife's birthday, and with the weather, kick-off time, and the way the season has progressed, she has no interest in attending, and I completely understand. We'll probably just do the dinner and a movie thing, and I'll catch up on the game later on.
I would imagine about 10 or 15,000 less than the announced attendance. I hope the service men / women come out and boost it a little. But you can't blame people based on the product UK has put on the field the last month. It was a month to forget
Pitt doesn't draw all the well anyway and I don't think you guys coming to town is going to excite anyone much in Western Pennsylvania. I think your 35K estimate is overshooting it.

How will we know? The UKAA will announce it at 50K. They will be lucky to pull 25K counting the players, cheerleaders, concession stand workers, etc

Y'all speak of die hard fans. Then talk about "die hard" fans giving their tickets away. Ha yeahhhhhh real die hard alright ha sounds more front running Panty wasted individuals who would rather sit home with their mother in laws than tailgate, sit and watch a football game. The definition of die hard fan doesn't mention anything of giving their tickets away. Die hard fans go no matter what. And continue to go no matter what. Period

I, and my wife and grandkids will be there. I support UK, win or lose. I still believe Coach Stoops will turn this program around. When you get my age, patience will prevail.
