If you're looking for reasonably priced but good, I would do Taranto's (boiled or fried) then Schooner (mostly fried). White Cap is ok, but stick to shrimp and oysters, avoid any of their fish. Also the Jourdan River Steamer is great but probably too far from where you'll be staying.

...which is at the end of Dedeaux Road at Lorraine Road. This is a no frills steak and shrimp place, with open wood fire grill and a menu of just Steak and Shrimp or both in various sizes. And to make it sports related, I ate an entire half-seafood platter from Deanie's in New Orleans before Croom and his boys cashed in their check against Tulane in 2007. I was still standing, and the only time I got sick was on Gabe O'Neal's pick six return when I started jumping up and down. That was a bad idea after eating twelve pounds of seafood. I was able to contain myself after that.
