Good first period in Anaheim. JS Giguere on his game early, but we got one by him. Tied 1 all at the end of 1. Lots of action, hopefully we can carry it over. Need to get one by Giguere early this period and set the tone.

Ducks win 5-2. Penalties hurt, particularly in the 2nd period. Still think we were the better team tonight, but just gave them too many chances. And JS Giguere was absolutely outstanding. Stopped nearly 50 shot attempts. Time to regroup and get ready to end this thing on our own ice. I don't want any part of JS Giguere in a Game 7 situation.
All things relative, I am a newcomer to this board. I have seen a handful of threads about English Premier League soccer, which I can sympathize with because one of my best friends from high school is all about that (Tottenham Hotspurs fan). And this is not a hit to any hockey fans whatsoever, but I guess my question is how does one get interested in hockey? I watched one or two Jackson Bandits games when they were still around, and I will admit that live hockey is very, very entertaining. However, hockey on TV is simply unbearable. Y'all must live in Nashville, Dallas, or just really love sports in general.
It's like this: I love sports in general, but I pretty much hate the NBA, soccer sucks (gonna get flamed on that one), and MState baseball is in the ******* this season. With all that in mind, hockey is the best alternative. Not to mention that I think it's players are the most well-behaved in all of sports. You virtually never hear of any NHL players getting in any major trouble. Plus, the rule changes a few year back have really helped the product. There's a premium on speed now, and the game is faster. And the amount of fights is down, which means fewer disruptions. Also, there are a lot of really good young players right now, so it's a good time to get back into the sport. I agree that live hockey is definitely much better, but any hockey beats the hell out of the Prison Hoops League, er, the NBA, as far as I'm concerned.
Giguere looked awesome. And at least in the highlights, the Ducks just looked a little bit better. Turco let in one he'd usually stop and on another we didn't defend well.
Better nut up and win game 6. We don't want to play against Giguere in a game 7.
