Guys, this is the SAME TEAM we had last year

You know, the team that had to win the SEC Tourney to make it into the dance. In fact, this team is even worst than last year because at least last year we had Elgin Bailey and Brian Johnson to give Jarvis some rest. And Twany came in to run the point some. The high expectations that were hoisted on this team were assuming Sidney would play and Reik was worth a ****. Neither has happened, so we're stuck with the NIT team from last year. Not making an excuse for tonight though. Tonight's loss was inexcusable and probably the most frustrating I've seen other than the loss to UGA in the SEC Tourney two years ago. But the team is just not that good, period.

with superior coaching could this team be better? I say yes. One also expects players to improve over a year and the SECW just isn't that good.

Last year's team did not have the experience. A whole year to develop wasted on that garbage. Our record is as good as I expected, but the way we lose is sodisappointing. We could have lost every game in the SEC this year. I have never seen a worse half court offense and I've watched A LOT of basketball.

when a team returns all of its production from the previous year, they should be better.

Sell that **** somewhere else.

Kodi is actually playing this year, and unlike last year Osby is sometimes a factor. We should be better than last year.

He shoots free throws well and that's about it. 2-13 tonight from the floor including 0-4 from three point range is pathetic. He thinks he's a guard and doesn't have to get in there and bang with the big boys. He should have wiped Fortson out about the second time that girl drove in the paint. Phil is about 6 inches shorter and played better power forward than Kodi does. It's just sad.

and jack up 3s or bull rush the lane. Keep him on the block and develop him down there.

Osby needs more of his minutes. We won't lose any boards with him.

but at times he looks good, and then others its like I cant believe what I'm watching....we actually looked good when he was at the 5 and Jarvis sat in the 1st half...

We got alot more problems than Kodi out on that floor

The problem is that we are not a great three point shooting team...we are a streaky three point shooting team at best and any team in the country can beat us when we are not making shots....just like stans says part of playing the game is making shots....he doesn't know how to slow the game down, run set plays, use our bigs(wendell even though he is young) when the time is right. We will win some games we shouldn't (ole miss) and loseeasy games under stans.... he brings our talent level down when depending on threes all night

Lack of effort lost us this game. I have never seen a team play a weaker second half in my life. Uninspired, piss poor basketball is all that was. Has anyone ever seen a team winning by double digits give up in a game like that? There were two or three Arkansas possessions where I swear three of our players' feet did not move. This game will be remembered for a long time, absolutely pathetic.

I typically don't bash Rick, but if he can't get this team motivated to close out a league road game, maybe him and the ninja should have a long talk and discuss some changes.

Kodi had a double-double tonight. Outside of Ravern & Randy, no one shot worth a damn. Why single out Kodi's poor shooting? The fact is, there is virtually no reason to ***** at Kodi tonight. He looked motivated for the most part when he was in the game and even had a nice block. We lost because Rick refused to adjust and kept letting that ***** Fortson rape Bost. I know I hate on Benock like everyone else, but he was doing a good job on Clarke tonight. Why not pull Bost and let Randy run the point and guard Fortson? It might not have worked, but I damn sure would have tried putting my best defender on that ***** before I let her singlehandedly beat me by continuing to let Bost guard her. And just wait until SC. Devan Downey is going off for 40 or 50 against Bost.

God forbid a team bringing EVERYONE back from a year before should improve. I mean, it's not like that's what coaching is all about or anything.

The argument that this team wasn't that great last year doesn't hold water. Now, most MSU fans probably had too high of expectations for this team, but still expecting improvement when you return basically everything from the previous year isn't too much.

Croom should have been fired immediately after Maine.
Richard Williams in 1995-96 after he lost to UALR. Wouldn't have made it to the Final Four, and that could have saved us all this disappointment in the years since. P.S. That team started 3-4 in the SEC.
