Thank you my friend! It was due. Can't compete on the highest level if you can't shoot the basketball. I didn't expect us or Tech to advance. Next year we'll be a lot better offensively, we will be much bigger and most importantly, Wade will have his players as only 2 of the 15 players will be Coach Smart's recruits. It'll be fun as Shaka and his Longhorns and the Wahoos both come to Richmond! I'm ready for a little baseball now and officially ready for football season lol!!!Really sorry for you and your Rams my friend.
I just got into the VCU Counselor's Graduate Program so thankfully I will get free tickets for at least 2 more years lol!! I'm not ready to pay $400+ for season tickets just yet! It's no telling how much the Texas game will cost. Texas will probably be a top 5 team next year with what they return and have coming in. I was fortunate enough to go to the VCU/UVA game here 2 years ago when the Hoos were LOADED!! VCU has a top 15 recruiting class coming in plus some VERY GOOD transfers so we should be able to give the guys from Charlottesville a game! I didn't even bother doing a bracket this year... I pick my Rams every year and I end up jinxing us. I even try to do a bracket where I don't pick us and I can't.. I'm just too bias lol!!!I agree, VCU will be improved next season. Can you imagine trying to get a ticket for either of the games you mentioned? The scalpers are drooling.
Dinwiddie baseball is off to a great start! 21-0 win yesterday. Of course it was against Huguenot!
But reality returns Monday......., Hanover! Ouch. But hey, that's why they play instead of just saying who should be the winner.
Someone took VCU to be the National Champion in Danny's pool. I texted him that that someone was off to a rough start. It was his kid! Now that's believing in your favorite team, huh?
And hell yes, what's taking football season so long to get started?
You'll have to come to a Salem Red Sox game this year too. The view of the mountains is worth the price of admission. Last year Salem would probably have won it all, but they had 2 players move up during the summer. They were a great team for the first 3 or 4 months or so. Maybe I could meet you if you came down.I just got into the VCU Counselor's Graduate Program so thankfully I will get free tickets for at least 2 more years lol!! As far as baseball goes, I'll check out a lot of VCU games, especially when we play UVA, and try to go to as many minor league games in the summer as I can. I love watching the Lynchburg Hillcats, Durham Bulls, Flying Squirrels, and the American Legion teams after the high school season is over. I normally don't watch HS baseball until playoffs. I have to see Hanover! Can you say DYNASTY?!? JF will be very good this year in 4a and Amherst is always good!
Definitely will do that my friend! When I'm home for the summer my dad and I catch as many minor league games as possible! He's a huge Red Sox fan but we've never caught a game in Salem. You'll have to come to a Salem Red Sox game this year too. The view of the mountains is worth the price of admission. Thank you for the kind words my friend! I can't wait to get to work!Mike, I remember seeing the baseball field when I came up to the Salem football game. Can you say AWESOME!
And two years ago, about this time of year, I was in Lynchburg and saw a little of a LU baseball game. Like every other LU venue, off the charts impressive. And to make it even more of a memorable experience, we sat on the visiting side be in the sun, and were beside the parents and grand parents of one of the kids on the visiting team. I don't remember the school, but the family was from PA. They naturally told me about there son, and his success in college baseball. I verified it later on the team web page, and the kid was the real deal. I wish I could remember his name because he probably is playing professionally now.
And GSH, I'm going to a Squirrels game or two this year, come hell or high water. I used to go a couple of times a year to a Brave's game, but just fell out of the habit. The Squirrels do a heck of a good job of making sure you have a good experience, win or lose. And I would love to go watch the Rams there as well.
And congrats on getting into that grad program. I'm sure after you graduate and start making the BIG bucks, you will be one of the heavy hitters and be up in suites with the muckity mucks. (You Know, like Navy, Hammy, and Clarke!) Heck Mike, by then he won't even know us peons! I bet our old friends Spartan and Street will still talk to us.
All kidding aside DSH, we are proud of you and what you are accomplishing at VCU. The world needs more men like you.
And Mike, hang tough buddy. Just make em do your surgery on the 28th. I'm sure that will solve many of your issues.
And do you guys realize that five months from tonight, we most likely will be talking about how the first scrimmages of the season went?
I did! He's a great guy. I don't know him as well as I know Jordan Burgess and Doug Brooks but everytime I've talked to him I've noticed just how good of a guy he is! He will be missed. We have a kid coming in this summer that may be the best player to ever come to VCU. Check him out if you have the time! LAVAR BATTS Jr.DSH, that was a nice, appreciative tweet from DeQuan Lewis. Did you see it?
@hamspear who do you see challenging y'all this year up that way? You'd think with the new transfer in for Millbrook that they will be good and of course someone from Loudoun Co will show up. I'd think your Warriors get a top 3 seed this year.
