- Say what you want about Kevin Stallings (and it's all warranted because he's a genuine turd by all accounts), but the sonofagun can coach basketball. Maybe his only redeeming quality as a human being?

Bunch of "play ons" that would be called charges now.

I had forgotten that CBB used to be played like that. Makes you wonder what in the hell happened to Rick Pitino. The product he slops out on the court now doesn't even resemble what he did at UK. He's become an entirely different coach.

Marcus Paige ---> from 1st Team All American to 3rd Team All ACC.
Solid.

How good is Quinn Cook this year?

He's one of the scariest players in the tournament to me....He/Jones are the best backcourt in the country without question, imo.

-SECT week.
Hopefully Nashville doesn't flood before we get there tho. 100% chance of rain every day this week down there...

-Easy to play that way when you have tons of talent. His early UL teams certainly did.

-What a f*cking douche Jim Boeheim is, sending an assistant and players to talk to the media and only appearing in front of a Cuse boosters paid event. Also, trying to play the "Ohh I didn't know this was going on." Dude, your star player went from eligible to ineligible to eligible to ineligible in like 3-4 weeks time. Meanwhile you Athletic Director, Director of BBall opps and tutors were devising a plan to write a paper for him. Great stuff Jimmy, showing those true colors.

Guess the NCAA noticed the same way as everyone else when Melo was cleared academically well into a semester. Maybe it was also obvious when the dude couldn't speak English.

-Big week boys and girls. SECT. Nashville. Legends/Tootsies/Tin Roof/Rippey's. Mist. LEGGO.

-Kind of want UF again this week. Complete the 3 game sweep on them. The guys won't be overlooking.

-Got a little loose Saturday. Didn't move 5' from the couch until about 6p yesterday. Nice way to blow off some steam after a long busy streak at work.

Thought he shoulda left last year. He was getting NO buzz at all, despite, IMO being just as good as Tyler Ennis. Guess being at UNC, no one even thought he might declare.

Way to go Roy! Way to develop your players! McAdoo, Paige, Henson, etc, etc. Awful.

Hopefully, they get the hammer next year and are out of a couple of post seasons, because with EVERYONE back, they might be decent next year. But the recruiting pipe is bone dry.

I'M STILL waiting for one of the national sportswriters to blast Boeheim. I miss all those articles?

Barnes.

Seriously, there may be no bigger lock in CBB than Roy's best player coming back & having his stock free-fall.

- I'll take our quartet over Jones and Cook. They're good but they're small.

- Can't wait for the committee to seed Vegas' two favorites together.

I think Forde is the only one but the tide is turning, I imagine they're waiting for the appeal. Heard a couple putting him on blast over cowardly sending his assistant to do his dirty work Saturday.

Saw several calling Vitale out on twitter for supporting him.

-Can't stand the guy, but to his credit, Forde is calling for Boeheim's departure.

-Solid second episode of "Last Man on Earth" last night.

-Brasabana on Friday night. Excellent food, service, atmosphere, just terrific all the way around.

-Manhattan vs. Iona for their conference bid tonight is a nice Monday night intro to tournament week. Great low-major rivalry.

-Bought my daughter a new softball bat for $35. Then noticed in the Dick's LHL ad yesterday that they're selling a softball bat for $450. What in the world could make a bat THAT expensive?

Cleveland is the smallest of the possible Regional Sites for Kentucky, so why on Earth would the Committee send 2 of the best teams with 2 of the biggest fanbases there? It's not about butts in the seats. That argument doesn't make sense when the Carrier Dome won't be sold out, nor would the Houston Dome.

In terms of ratings, it doesn't matter who Kentucky plays in the Elite Eight, because people will watch that game regardless simply because of the undefeated Kentucky storyline. So it's not about ratings. And wouldn't the NCAA want the ratings to be higher in the Final Four? Ratings in the Final Four would be lower without undefeated Kentucky, so why not make sure they have an "easy" (they never are easy) road to the Final Four? Wouldn't a Final Four of Kentucky, Duke, Wisconsin, and Arizona be off the charts? NO ONE WANTS Cinderellas in the Final Four. Sure, it's great for bracket busting, but the big teams bring the viewers. Butler vs. VCU? No thanks.

So yeah, expect Kentucky, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, and Louisville in the Midwest.

Yeah, I was listening when Vitale went off.

He basically said (paraphrase "Jim is very active in Coaches vs. Cancer, therefore there is no way he had anything to do with anything and this isn't fair"

-Saved up for like 6 months for my new TPX back in the day. Special order and all. Man, seriously one of the top 5 days in my childhood. I loved that sucker. Seems like gloves have taken a much bigger role now-a-days. But for us it was all about the bats.

-Not going to worry about Wisconsin. Feels like the momentum is growing for them to be a 1. Assuming they make it to the Big Ten finals, that's what's happening IMO.

-I have this sensation that we haven't really been playing well down the stretch, which may even be true. Regardless, I'd like to see us find another gear this week in Nashville. Cal has alluded to it, let's hope he's being sincere. Probably isn't though because he's a worse person than Bill Cosby.

-Wasn't the fun weekend I was looking for, but yesterday was a clinic on how to build goodwill before the tourney. Lass was hungover so I let her sleep in until noon. Then I nursed her back to health with coffee and pastries, then she had a PB class, and by the time she was home the little one and I had just gotten back from the Krogers with a week's worth of groceries. Prepared dinner and cleaned the kitchen after that.

-Folks have had 2 of their close friends pass recently. Kind of impressive how their group has handled it, honestly. Lot of humor and celebrating of fond memories. Guess that's the deal in your 60's and 70's.

-Not a flip flop forecast for Nashville.

-Heck of a time to have my internet persona. Twitter is OUTRAGED. Probably should lay low there for a bit...

I'm not so much worried about Wisconsin as I'm just incensed that you have so-called experts thinking it's quite alright to pit them as our 2... And then the committee chair comes out and says that geography is the primary factor in placement.

What in the hell does the overall #1 seed have an advantage for if you are going to give everyone geographical preference over the S curve?

- I'm having trouble seeing it. UK and the two ACC schools are locks and Villanova has a sack full of Top 25ish wins (all lower end, but still).

- We do have another gear. It's Aaron and Booker on at the same time from downtown. That's what I'd love to see. If both of those guys are hitting- watch out. Unfortunately, you can count on one hand the games it has happened all year.

Forde with an article today talking about how Wisconsin doesn't want us in the Elite 8 on 2 days rest...and would fare much better with a week to prepare.

I guess I'll be the dumb a-hole who thinks UK is a terrible, terrible matchup for Wisconsin. I'd rather have them as a 2 than Nova or Arizona.

How'd that work for them last year? With a far inferior UK team, I might add.

It's not even about Wisconsin for me. I'd be just as pissed off it was Arizona. It's about the fact UK is getting the best 2-seed. It makes no damn sense. UK should have Kansas- or Gonzaga.

Agree with those of the opinion Wisconsin will get a 1 seed. Barring a letdown in the BIG Tournament.

Committee will get less flack for giving the final 1 seed to Wisconsin than putting them and UK in the same region.

Just the opposite in our league, Easton's were the standard. A few TPX's, but they weren't viewed as any different/better than Easton's.

If Justin Anderson doesn't come back soon, I can see Virginia being left off the top line because of the Kenyon Martin effect.

That is, unless Tony Bennett lies about Anderson's prognosis like Jim Boeheim did when Arinze Onuaku very clearly tore his ACL in the 2010 Big East Tournament to preserve his #1 seed and send West Virginia our way, the rat bastard.

Llama, the bats have gotten ridiculous and the "keeping up with the Jones" is a joke. My son played travel up until this year and finally said he had enough. Kids rocking Easton Mako bats at 349.99 a piece, one in big barrell and one in 2 1/4". 12 and 13 year old kids wheeling out bat bags with easily over 1000-1500 dollars worth of gloves, bats, personnel customized helmets, both metal spikes and rubber spikes, three or four uniforms so they can dress different for each game. Its become a freaking fashion statement as much as a baseball game.

- I don't blame Boeheim for lying about Onuaku.

- Do we know the gametime Friday yet?

- It's funny how you could make the argument for each of our frosh being the best and worst at some point during the season. Like right now- you'd probably go 1) Towns 2) Lyles 3) Ulis 4) Booker. But a month ago, Booker would be first and Towns may have been last.

- BEST Individual Performances of the Season:

1. WCS, Texas- 21p, 12r, 5s, 3b- Just a dominant, career performance against a terrific frontline.

2. Ulis, @Louisville- 14p- controlled the game, stepped up with Andrew playing poorly, best player on the floor of the big rivalry game.

3. Towns, @Florida- 19p, 8r

4. Towns, @ Georgia- 19p, 7r. Took over down the stretch.

5. Aaron, Ole Miss- 26p- his best game of the year, completely saved our asses

The composite bats are great in the summer, but in the Spring, they suck. The weather is just too cold here until mid May.

Easton XL series all aluminum has the most pop of any bat I've seen for the buck. You can find them for $100-125 if you shop around.

Regardless, the best kids are still the best kids...good equipment or not. Always been that way. Always will be that way.

I'm curious to see who/where our guys end up on the ALL SEC teams.

WCS & Towns are locks for 1st team. I honestly think Andrew has a shot.

Regardless, every single guy on our team except for Lee/Dakari *should* have a spot on the 50 man roster somewhere.

I know it wasn't a remarkable statistic performance relative to the ones Chad listed, but the most "in the zone" game I saw from a UK player this season was Andrew Harrison against Arkansas. He played angry and with confidence at the same time, and poor Arkansas didn't have a chance.

Same ******** everywhere

Ready for Nashville, when's everybody getting there?
