Does the NCAA get to a point like ESPN and go full "They are going to ride this pony" mode and decide to make sure UK has a favorable ride to the Final 4 ? I mean they are all about some story lines and all. In the end, "it's what is best for business."

Baby shower for my oldest son's wife Saturday,,, in GD Hopkinsville , KY. All of the men watched Florida / UK at a ****** BW's wanna be Wings and Rings or something like that. 80 % of his friends , yeap Louisville fans. Worst 4 hours of my life, but I straight **** talked the line bearded brother that sat right beside me. Then I pulled the class move, ordered him a double Jagger Bomb, paid for it and told him "enjoy next year, let's meet here for the UK / UL game , loser pays tab." All I remember was they called him "Smooth" TFS.

Mags52 just said the rumor is Crean is gonna pull a Tubby....will leave IU for another job before they fire him.

The job? Alabama

Good lord, if that happens what an awful pairing by both sides.

Leaving our house Friday morning at about 6:30 am Friday to drop the dogs off.....actually, scratch that. We're dropping them off Thursday evening, because the kennel doesn't open early enough to fit our flight schedule. There is one directly across from the airport that opens at 7am, and that could have possibly worked, but we'd still be cutting it close. So, we'll leave around 6:30. Maybe 6:45. It's about 20 minutes to the airport, but there can be traffic issues going thru that part of the city. Our flight leaves at 8am. I dont know the flight number, but it's Southwest. Direct flight, which is always nice. That's the busiest hub in the airport, but my girlfriend is A-List Preferred, so that speeds up the process for sure. Boarding is about 45 minutes before the flight leaves, but who are they kidding? They never start that early. We'll board at 7:45, leave a few minutes late, but pick up time in the air. That's the mark of a great pilot. The stewardi will crack some funny jokes, and make the nauseating rehearsal of the safety announcement seem enjoyable. Kudos to the crew. We're set to touch down at 8:25, and we'll be out the door shortly. I'm an aisle guy, she's a window girl. That's perfect. We'll sit in the front, we rarely check a bag, and we're out quickly. Our hotel does not offer a shuttle, so we'll be taking a taxi cab. We're staying at the Courtyard on West End/Vandy campus. The entire trip was actually booked with free points, so that's a huge plus. Im hoping we can check in early, but you never know with these things. At worst, we'll leave our bags with the doorman, and retrieve them later. In fact, we'll be dressed for the occasion, knowing its unlikely we have time to check in, shower and change. We'll take a taxi again to the Broadway/downtown area. Uber is always possible, but we're not that familiar with the practice, since the app isn't up and running fully in our city yet. A cab will do just fine, and we will likely be at a bar and ready to partake in the festitivies by 10am, give or take. That's our plans, but its all up in the air. You never know how things may change on gameday.

I'm off this week, just itching to get down there. May leave Weds, but most likely around noon on Thursday.

Credit Card points FTW. Good grief room would have been like $500/nt otherwise.

Best Bar for watching the games?

Have missed the last 2 SEC tourneys, so i'm extry excited. Also one of the few times of the year that I get to see a big group of friends all in the same place.

Getting the itch to move back home. Not really looking at Louisville, but would enjoy settling back in the central Kentucky vicinity. Been nearly a decade, and i've enjoyed the other places we've lived but i'm over it. Tuscaloosa felt like home, but I couldnt imagine living out my days there. Bowling Green (OH), Grand Rapids, Charlotte, Chatt., Columbus never really did it for me. Also not opposed to drastically changing career paths. I havent enjoyed much in about a year, would like to explore other options that may compensate more than education.

Saw "Focus" over the weekend and it was petty average. Plot just seemed a bit off. Also rented Whiplash which was decent. JK Simmons is a fantastic *******.

Started my spring cleaning Saturday. Cleaned gutters, pruned trees... and it was pleasant enough to crack the windows. Was nice to get some air flowing through the house.

Have a feeling someone on our roster turns down first round cash to stick around another year. Not based on anything, and havent confirmed with Chief but its just my guess.

People are forgetting that Boeheim staffed a coach that was involved in sexual encounters with multiple ball boys. So academic fraud, while gross, still doesnt rise to the extreme levels of his despicable-ness.

Just got word from black Mike that he isnt going to Nashville, so there will be one less dude at Tootsies just throwing $20's at the bartender just for looking at him or calling him "sugar"

Bud Dupree about to get paid. Respect to Randall Cobb for getting his, too.

Sunday golf nap FTW.

Chad, Jerry, and I watched at some country bar, Cadillac Ranch maybe? They had like .50 draft beers, tons of TVs, volume, etc.

I'll go basically anywhere but Bailey's, I hate that place in Nashville for some reason.

I'll actively look for tix, but am definitely not paying $500 for a pair to watch us drub some **** SEC team -- May not even attempt Friday's game. The savings will be applied towards the March run.

...anyone else coming home Sunday morning? Think that will likely be my play from here on when in Nashville.

I mean, how could the committee feel that Wisconsin, as the #1 2 seed, is being rewarded by getting the overall #1 seed?

*I keep looking at Stubhub for Cleveland tickets but am having a hard time pulling the trigger.

For the experts, tickets defiantly get more expensive once UK is officially confirmed? Cheapest now is $325 for all three games.

Plus, 1% of me fears those bastards from the NCAA may ship us south and I won't get back nearly as much as I paid.

Bad news: It's freaking expensive.
Good news: My be priced for a solo trip.

Anyone want to split a room? I'm already booked.

^Forde is distracting attention from the Chris Jones ordeal.

-Who told me to schedule 3 back to back meetings to start my Monday.

-I think if UVA, Duke or Nova go down this weekend they bump Wisky up.

-This is also Jimmy B's 2nd time on probation, correct? So thats a covered up sex scandal and 2 stints on probation. Excellent stuff. Guy does so much good though, great for the kids.

-Obviously Wisconsin is pissed about having to possibly face us in the E8, why wouldn't they be? That's a kick in the balls.

-Agree with SAE that we've been kind of lackluster(still winning by double digits) but I also think it's a product of the hype over the undefeated season. Everyone else has done the same but just without winning every game. Wisky, except yesterday, has really struggled letting ****** teams back in, UVA Anderson and scoring, Duke has a few awful L's and no D, Zona has looked very pedestrian as recent as last weekend.

-Agree on Bailey's. LAst choice. Wish Tin Roof wasn't going to be the obvious head quarters but sounds like thats a given.

-Scheduled for mid afternoon Thursday departure but I'm pushing for 3p today. So we'll see where that ends up.

-SECCG was later last year.

I'm a pretty big fan of everything Tin Roof. I don't feel like they do anything overly spectacular, but every one I've been in is just set up for a good time. It's pretty much UK headquarters here (dope).

Agreed. I feel comfortable at every Tin Roof I've ever been to. Live music. Laidback, fun, country atmosphere. And generally, not that hard to get a beer.

Seems like the committee gets more and more interactive with the media each year. I think they float trial balloons to gauge reactions to different scenarios (otherwise, why else grant interviews). I am beginning to think that the growing backlash over the idea of UK and Wis in the same region will result in the committee doing the opposite.

Plus, as 73 astutely pointed out, from a sheer $ standpoint, the NCAA should want us in Indy; should need us in Indy. Granted this is an institution that often defies logic, but still.

I think the UK-Wis scenario is just fodder for discussion and in the end, it doesn't happen.

Oh yeah, I love the place. I meant with KSR being there you won't be able to get through the doors, which sucks.

If Wisconsin wins the Big 18 tourney, and UVa doesn't win the ACC Tourney, does Wisconsin steal that #1 seed? What if Nova somehow loses? What if monkeys fly out of my butt? Do they deserve a #1 seed?

I just don't see how Virginia loses their 1-seed. Likewise, Duke has the best Ws in the country. They're a lock. It comes down to Nova, Wisky and, perhaps, Arizona. BUT, Arizona's losses are bad.

Not exactly sure how this ACC tourney thing works but I think one of the first two is most certain to lose this weekend.

DeCourcy been reading GYERO- Geography isn't everything.

The committee spends a fair portion of the time allotted to construct the bracket on ranking the teams that make the field from No. 1 through No. 68. And lately it then has abandoned that list to place the most prominent teams not in position to make the fairest matchups in the tournament’s later rounds, but instead in the region “closest to home” regardless of the imbalances – and, frankly, competitive injustices – that creates.
The committee members think they’re “taking care” of the highest seeds by giving them geographical preference.
This is asinine.

If UVa loses they've then lost 3 times. Same as Wisconsin but more recently. Especially if they lose on Saturday. If Duke goes down that's 4.

Which is why I wanting UL over UVa. It's the only chance we have to get Wis off the 2 line and out of our region.

The one here gets it as far as not making any bones about it being a " UK Bar". Like that.

Decent looking servers, cheap domestos, mix of good tunes playing, etc.

The best Final Four scenario for TV viewership/media/storylines/best teams/etc:

Kentucky
v.
Arizona

Duke
v.
Wisconsin

Championship Game: Kentucky v. Duke

You're welcome, committee. Now set it up.

* UVA, Gorganzola, Villanova, Kansas, or any other pretenders are just SOL.

We had a stretch of games from the S Carolina game in Rupp through the Arkansas game at home where we flat out played dynamo basketball.

UGA was tough. Fox can really coach & had a great game plan. When it was crunch time though we clamped down and went on a 25-8 run to close it out. This past Saturday I felt like they just wanted to get the game over with. Still held Florida to
23 points in the 2nd half.

Said all season the margin of error with this group is so wide and they can win and beat you in a variety of ways. That's the beauty of it.

The regular season is such a long grind. They know what time it is.

Kasey Hill...
Games like this would drive me up a wall if I'm a UF CBB fan (lol). Kid absolutely dogs it a large majority of the season, plays like ****, isn't leading the team, etc... then decides to turn it on and become Mike Conley.

Grief. We couldn't keep that kid out of the paint and was finishing some tough **** at the rim despite our contests from the bigs. Because, of course.

Not to put a damper on everything but hopefully getting exposed a bit staying in front of the ball will be good for us to hammer down before postseason starts up. I know we like to funnel guys into the trees but if we run into some speedy little PG that can knife us up and find open shooters...

That high ball screen action really gave us some fits. Gotta shore that up. Just saying.

Was curious what the line was on the UNLV vs Duke Final Four game. When I found it I was surprised. The spread was only -5.5. It opened at -9.5 but dropped to -5.5 on game day. Anybody else surprised it was only -5.5?
