Wow. Takes the "going in early" to an all new level.

-Really feeling for you guys who have to deal with all day drinking and watching college ball Thus-Sun.

But...in all honesty, I'm just really depressed that I totally forgot about a call shift Saturday. 7A Sat -7A Sunday. Touching destroys the weekend.

Do we need to fill out tonight's games on the Bryant Brackets? I haven't had a chance yet.

Did everyone hear our boy swimmer call into KSR yesterday from Jamaica asking about whether or not he should drive to Lexington from Wisconsin like he did last year for the Final Four game (if the match-up happens)?

Mags predicting Donovan to IU if Crean doesn't get to the second weekend? Didn't see that coming.

wtf.

She's still sick, btw.

Already paranoid about it and feel "weird" in that i may be getting sick type of way. Trying to tell myself it's just the usual post SECT Fog + Paranoia. I hardly EVER get actually sick, but "think" I am "getting sick" just about anytime I have a *crucial* event on the horizon.

99% of the time, it's nothing but said paranoia, and everything works out just fine.

Anyone else suffer from this complex?

Probably because you wake up at 4:30 in the morning & go work out whenever you're excited, and your body just gives out.

Could just be allergies, Adrian. Mine kicked in over the weekend. Thought I was getting sick until I realized what was happening and got back on my meds.

Tell you jimmies what, Allergists FTW. Dude has changed my life. Glad I only needlessly suffered for about 10 years.

I worked my *** off to get the nursery set up so I wouldn't miss any March Madness (late April due date) but never realized that the baby shower (no couples - or me) was this weekend.

Now, I'm set to make dozens of Canadians slightly miffed. How 'boot that?

I usually get sick every March and it's usually after the SEC Tourney partying. I feel fine this year.

Yay nor Nah?
Offered you prime lowers behind the UK bench last week for less than that. But just pretty much got grief for it.

Enjoy.

I misread his text...that price was for Four (4) complete books. I'll likely need just 1 Thursday, and maybe Saturday as well

Regardless, I passed.

Will be down Thursday to enjoy the scene, and maybe or maybe not sneak in for value.

Will be back to do the same on Saturday, with a much more aggressive Ticket strategy and willing to spend a little $$$.

Oh, and NO, you didn't.

You offered $800 per book.

He offered $900 for FOUR (4) books.

So yeah, yours was definitely "less than that"

When you originally posted it and I made my comment, you said two books.

So go edit yourself, DannyDevito twin.

Care to do the math on TWO books then, Doc?

Here, I'll help.

$912 for 2 books = $456 per book.

$800 per book = $800 per book.

So, just like you said, you offered me "less than that" (only actually about DOUBLE)

Trying really hard to listed to Matts show since it is March and all, but the callers in general are awful (whatever happened to the Truth?). The whole I did this last year should I do it again **** year crowd really is the worst.

Couple weeks ago, dude on the pay side posted the same thing. Grains of salt obviously, but he mentioned family members that were close with a few IU boosters and said it has some legs.

edit--Going on memory, he/they implied Billy D was looking to get out of Gainesville.

I know people around here are soured on Donovan, but man, what a HR that would be for IU.

He's had a rough one, but he's a year removed from the #1 seed.

He's still wayyy overrated though, despite "contending" for a Final 4 or Title basically most of his career at FLORIDA.

(Chad's worst take ever, btw)

From Bill Simmons' final NBA Trade Value column....

http://grantland.com/features/2015-nba-trade-value-part-3-the-final-countdown/

1. Anthony Davis
In 2007's Trade Value column, I wrote that "2007 LeBron and 2007 [Dwight] Howard are more untradeable than anyone in the seven-year history of this 'Trade Value' column, even surpassing (gulp) 2001 Shaq and 2003 Duncan." Eight years later, you'd have to belatedly cram 2015 Davis into that sentence while crossing your fingers nice and hard. Why? Look what happened to the 2007 guys. LeBron has become a four-time MVP, a two-time champ and one of the best 10 players ever. Dwight has made only one Finals and never won an MVP, and started breaking down four years later. You never know. It's 50-50 once a young star reaches anything-is-possible status. You need injury luck, you need the right situation, and you need the player to want it. For every Shaq, there's a Dwight. For every Magic, there's a Penny. For every Kareem, there's a Walton. For every Duncan, there's a C-Webb. For every Kobe, there's a Derrick Rose.

So cross your fingers for the Brow. Nice and hard.

He just turned 22 years old and hasn't even played 6,500 career minutes yet. He's the best screen-and-roller since Young Robinson. Longer arms than McHale. Freakocious athlete like Hakeem. Light on his feet like Young Duncan. Drains 20-footers like Bosh. Protects the paint like KG. I don't know what else you'd want. Jordan (24 years old at the time), LeBron (24), T-Mac (23) and Davis (right now) are the only under-25 players to post PERs over 30. He's also one of three under-25 guys (along with '90 Robinson and '74 Bob McAdoo) to average 24 and 10 with 2.5 blocks and 1.0 steals. And if he came along 35 years ago, he'd probably be a senior at Kentucky right now.

And look, I don't know how this will play out. But I have been attending NBA games since the 1973-74 season, back when my father carried me as a tiny 4-year-old into Boston Garden and hoped that I would fall in love with the sport. I did. Over the next 41 years (and counting), I watched maybe 25 up-and-coming stars who just seemed different from everyone else. Young Durant was all arms and legs, and he weighed about 20 pounds, but he had that crazy release and you just knew something unforgettable would happen with him. Young Hakeem and Young Robinson were Greek gods; they moved at a different speed, and with a different level of coordination, than anyone I had ever seen. Young Duncan had those beautiful feet; he just glided effortlessly wherever he wanted to go.

Young MJ was indescribable; I'm not even going to betray the experience by cramming it into one sentence. Young Kobe and Young Penny looked like MJ and Magic had cloned themselves just for kicks. Young Shaq was unfair around the basket; you couldn't keep him away from the rim unless you had a two-by-four. Young Barkley was a bowling ball crossed with a runaway train. Young C-Webb looked like a combination of everything you'd ever liked about every power forward you'd ever liked. Young LeBron looked and played like he was 28 already; he's the surest thing I have ever seen, a true prodigy in every sense.

So that's the first stage: the old Gladwell Blink test, when you witness the raw materials in person and think to yourself, Jesus, where is THIS going? But there's a second stage, usually in Year 2 or Year 3, when it ascends to another level and that night-to-night ceiling gets removed. That's probably my favorite career point for basketball players, actually. Tonight, we know that about 16,000 people will pack the Smoothie King Center to watch the Pelicans play the Bucks. We know the Pelicans will probably win. And we have absolutely no idea what the Brow will do. A quadruple-double? Can't rule it out. 40 and 20? Not impossible. 35, 10 and 15? It's in play. A game-winning off-balance 3 with two guys draped over him? Sure.

It's the single best stage. Others are coming, but I love this one the most. Anthony Davis might play 50,000 minutes over the next 15 to 20 years. He might climb one or two levels higher than this current one. He might win multiple MVPs and multiple titles; I would be shocked if that didn't happen. But he's going to be young and great only once. This doesn't happen often. Cross your fingers

Love me some #SeatSmack.

Hopefully I'll find a way to not have a miserable time this March Madness while not being on the floor/behind the bench/in a suite & snapchatting the entire game.

Prayers requested.

Dennis, is that you?

Lighten up, bub.

Was just poking fun at myself for COMPLETELY FORGETTING about a 24 hour shift on my most favoritest weekend of the year. The shifter itself? Eh, whatever, I do 5-6 a month.

In my very, very limited defense, in the original schedule I was off but I didn't check the final schedule close enough. Complete amateur move on my part to allow this to happen though.

But, in the spirit off the thread, get pumped.

This game (Hampton - Manhattan) feels like a potential upset if Hampton wins. Something along the lines of an 11 over a 6.

All good, CB.

Get it. Trust me. Lass is in her second year of residency and is averaging about 83 work
hours a week for the last few months. It's a straight grind.
