Fact. We are 4 GD wins away from an unprecedented undefeated season... What UL does or is doing is irrelevant to me. They do not upset me in the slightest. Even if they make some kind of miracle Final 4 run, they are still immersed in our ever elongating shadow.

Only time UofL has crossed my mind is with GAMBOL, definitely not with UK or anything to do with this tournament.

They are nothing.

Thinking of stupid family memories. I've got this UK fan uncle that always seems to pine after our former coaches.

During '95, he talked about how much he was enjoying Sutton's FF run while Pitino was here.

When Pitino went to UL it was all about how he was going to own us and Tubby.

During the 2010 run after they lost to WVa, it was all about how Tubby would own the Big 10 doing it "the right way."

I imagine when someone takes over for Cal he'll come around to him.

Can't get too worked up over an award given by an organization headed by freaking Pat Forde and Dana O'Neil. They are troll clowns, of course they were going to touch that up.

-Marshall is just holding out for Cal to leave.

-As probably already mentioned ,Howland is absolutely a HR for MSU. Sure his style is nauseous and terrible(which seems perfect for Starkville) but he's still a solid name and can recruit. I'm sure we will hate him soon if you didn't already.

-I've come around on Brey some. Used to loathe him. I'm not even sure why really, maybe it was that turtleneck.

-Actually enjoying some Finebaum in the afternoon lately. A lot of bball talk now(obviously) and some solid guests. If some Bama mouth breather calls in I just mute usually.

-Scared of some press? ninja please ---->Tyler f'n Ulis . Also some of those Booker 3's start falling again and its curtains for those other chumps in Cleveland.

As much as I dislike him, I'll never deny the fact that Rick is a great coach and one of the best of all time. That being said, this talk of his amazing job at getting UL to the Sweet 16 is laughable at best. Sure, I suppose they could make it to Indy but nothing that they have done in this tournament has made me say, "Wow". They've beaten UC Irvine and Northern Iowa for God's sake. I understand Northern Iowa has been ranked high all year but they're basically playing OVC level schools.

Even if they do make the final 4, NC State, Oklahoma, and Michigan State are not exactly a murderers row. Michigan State is capable due to Izzo and their toughness but otherwise, that bracket is hot ****.

Kornheiser is such a stupid sonofabitch. He keeps talking about the SEC like UK has only played SEC teams this year. Dumbass- UK is 3-0 against the Sweet 16.

The worst part about this time of year is when the national columnist realize the sport exists and start pretending like they've been watching all along. Their is a whole lot of stupid out there.

Wilbon managed to trump that **** sandwich take by saying Louisville was the one team left that Kentucky ABSOLUTELY would not want to face. Said Louisville would be our Villanova (to Georgetown) and/or Duke (to UNLV).

From KSR's "Where are they now" bit today...

During Watson's three years on the varsity squad he scored the majority of points from 35-40 feet from the basket.

Ha.

No.

I did get a good chuckle, though, thinking about watching some grainy old black and white video of some squirrely little white dude just firing bombs from halfcourt every possession.

The **only** national guys (all apologies to TKE's contacts) worth watching/listening to at all for anything are SVP and Russillo.

Also helps they really know college sports. Best radio guys and podcast, and it's not even close.

I listen to The First Team on XM on the way into work each morning. They make no secret that they're football-first, but they do all right with basketball. They were going off on the COY award this morning talking about how Calipari was robbed. Some guy called in and started with the UMass/Memphis stuff and they shut him down pretty quickly. Major points in my book.

Czabe is good. Bruno is better, but I have a hard time keeping up with him.

The Golden 5:

TK show in his prime
Jim Rome
Tony Bruno
Scott Ferrall
Czabe

I listen local in the mornings, and Rome when I'm driving around in the afternoon.

Had a dream last night that Carolina took down Wisconsin, which would be great if Arizona wasn't looming. I'm not sure who I'd prefer to avoid out of Wisconsin and Arizona.

It will be a great game if Paige is on.

Arizona doesn't scare me as much as Wisconsin, just b/c of the shooting.

My anxiety level was off the charts yesterday. Kinda concerning? Just went ahead and took off work for Friday because I'm going to need many brown waters to get by.

Every day for the last 6 months. Worst feeling in the world waking up each morning knowing you are about to walk into a horrible situation at the office.

Things i've considered doing for a career change:
*Franchising a Newks restaurant (didnt have the cool million liquid funds)
*Franchising a Jimmy Johns (ultimately cant decide on a locale that isnt already completely saturated)
*Initech
*Stay at home husband
*Blogging about UK but KGAR beat me to it
*Flipping Houses
*day trading bitcoin

Was supposed to train on a boat today but they wanted me full time (not what they originally told me) and asked me to leave my other gig...nah I like it. So now I decided to babe a couple cocktails and sit by the pool with the dogs.

Dreading Thursday. Decided to work till the game started then go home and watch it by myself. I can't watch most big games in public.

WCC, I too has a dream about the cats last week. It ended in us winning a championship but the fact I was on the team was a bit concerning.

Big Airbus (operated by Lufthansa) crashed this morning in the French Alps.

Damn.

Thought those things were pretty much bullet proof, as in, an entire engine(s) could go out and it STILL be just fine to land somewhere.

Here's some BTI entertainment...

But let's not forget that Cal was still not a 100% fan favorite even 2 years into his tenure. Obviously the talent had increased ten fold in his tenure at that point, but he had suffered a highly disappointing loss in the 2010 NCAA Tournament and let's not forget that the 2011 regular season was very difficult, with the Cats struggling to win any conference road game. Then they nearly get upset in the first round of the tournament to Princeton. At that point in his tenure, I think some fans were not sold on Calipari and this whole one and done thing.

Who else remembers the Faithful turning on Coach Cal 1.5 seasons into his tenure?

(yeah, me, neither).

Watched the Oregon vs Wisconsin game. Oregon wasn't very disciplined and made some bonehead plays but it really jumped out at me how much more athletic they were than Wisconsin. Wisconsin wasn't even trying to drive against them and Kamisky had difficulty getting good shots off.

Carolina may be the most inconsistent team in the country and they certainly have their weaknesses but something tells me they could pull this off if Paige is on his A game.
